Ayer cumplí 18 años, y... no lo sé, aún no lo digiero. Creo que no me siento del todo preparada para ser mayor de edad, ¿pueden detener el tiempo? me gustaría tener 17 un rato más JAJAJA.

Este año para mí fue muy agotador mentalmente (incluso más que el 2020), pasantías, labor social, la elaboración de un informe final de año, batallas con el servicio de luz, el internet y lidiar con las mil cosas que acomplejan al país a la vez no fue tarea fácil (pero sobreviví, ¡yeih!).
Tuve muchos días donde me sentí agobiada, creo que lo que más desgaste mental me causó fue mi inseguridad con respecto a tomar decisiones y que el resultado no sea el esperado, me pasa con cosas tan pequeñas como qué sabor de helado pedir o con cosas tan grandes como qué carrera universitaria estudiar. Es algo que en ocasiones me sigue paralizando y que no me deja ser del todo libre, anteriormente no había reparado en ello pero últimamente he tomado la tarea de autoconocerme y así comprender un poco mejor el porqué de mis emociones, así que a partir de allí es más fácil trabajar en ello.
A pesar de todo, me siento muy agradecida con cada experiencia y con cada persona que me ha brindado su apoyo este último año, han influido en mí de una u otra manera y me hacen querer ser mejor persona, creo que me he vuelto una persona más madura y un poco sabia también.

Algo destacable del último año fue definitivamente mi crecimiento personal, a veces pierdo la motivación y son días que me pregunto si estoy yendo por el camino correcto o si las cosas que estoy haciendo hoy me llevarán a lo que deseo lograr mañana; soy un poco dura conmigo misma al exigirme tanto pero algo que he aprendido es que todos tenemos nuestro propio ritmo, si sobrecargo mi mente de información basura o si me dejo llevar por mis inseguridades toda la energía que tenía se apaga gradualmente, así que trato de relajarme, respirar profundo y desconectarme del teléfono y la computadora para reconectarme conmigo misma y recuperar la motivación. Entendí el significado de amar, y que así como decidimos amar a otras personas y protegerlas ante cualquier cosa, es algo que también debemos aplicar con nosotros mismos; y por último, todo pasa por algo, todo sucede en el momento que debe suceder, para nuestro beneficio y para nuestra bendición, aunque tengamos dudas, aunque no sea algo que tengamos planeado o que incluso queramos.
Ayer fue un lindo día, recibí un montón de mensajes de cumpleaños muy hermosos por parte de familiares y amigos. Convencí a mi mamá que en lugar de hacer una torta de cumpleaños, hiciéramos mi postre favorito: pie de limón. Estoy feliz que hayan sobrado unas cuantas copas con pie para seguir disfrutando el día de hoy.
Hay un montón de cosas que debo trabajar en mí y por mí, pero hoy quiero abrazar a mi Nicole interior y darle unas palmaditas en la espalda por su desempeño en el camino recorrido. También quiero agradecer a Hive por permitirme volverme más independiente al poder recibir recompensas compartiendo contenido de mis actividades favoritas, y darle las gracias nuevamente a Jean @therealflaws (jeje nunca dejaré de darte las gracias) por invitarme a la plataforma y ser mi orientador, por aceptar ir a caminar conmigo aunque no te guste caminar y luego brindarme hamburguesas (te las debo ¿ok?) y a Richie @rishahp también por el apoyo, ser mi mejor amigo y animarme a seguir publicando diariamente, los tkm.

This year for me was very mentally exhausting (even more so than 2020), internships, social work, writing a final year report, battles with the electricity service, the internet and dealing with the thousand things that plague the country all at once was no easy task (but I survived, yay!).
I had many days where I felt overwhelmed, I think what caused me the most mental exhaustion was my insecurity about making decisions and that the result is not what I expected, it happens to me with things as small as what flavor of ice cream to order or with things as big as what university career to study. It is something that sometimes continues to paralyze me and does not let me be completely free, previously I had not noticed it but lately I have taken the task of self-knowledge and thus understand a little better the reason for my emotions, so from there it is easier to work on it.
In spite of everything, I feel very grateful with every experience and with every person who has given me their support this last year, they have influenced me in one way or another and make me want to be a better person, I think I have become a more mature person and a bit wiser as well.

A highlight of the last year was definitely my personal growth, sometimes I lose motivation and they are days that I wonder if I am going the right way or if the things I am doing today will lead me to what I want to achieve tomorrow; I am a little hard on myself by demanding so much of myself but one thing I have learned is that we all have our own pace, if I overload my mind with junk information or if I get carried away by my insecurities all the energy I had gradually shuts down, so I try to relax, take a deep breath and disconnect from the phone and computer to reconnect with myself and regain motivation. I understood the meaning of loving, and that just as we decide to love other people and protect them against anything, it is something we should also apply with ourselves; and finally, everything happens for a reason, everything happens at the time it should happen, for our benefit and for our blessing, even if we have doubts, even if it is not something we have planned or even want.
Yesterday was a nice day, I received a lot of beautiful birthday messages from family and friends. I convinced my mom that instead of making a birthday cake, let's make my favorite dessert: lemon pie. I'm happy there were a few leftover pie cups to continue enjoying today.
There are a lot of things I need to work on in me and for me, but today I want to hug my inner Nicole and pat her on the back for her performance along the way. I also want to thank Hive for allowing me to become more independent by being able to receive rewards by sharing content of my favorite activities, and thank you again to Jean @therealflaws (hehe I will never stop thanking you) for inviting me to the platform and being my mentor, for agreeing to go for a walk with me even if you don't like walking and then providing me with burgers (I owe you ok?) and to Richie @rishahp also for the support, being my best friend and encouraging me to keep posting daily, tkm you guys.
