Estoy muy feliz de haber logrado algo que me parecía imposible de alcanzar y en muchas ocasiones se me pasó por la mente renunciar.
En publicaciones anteriores he comentado que inicie a dar clase en primaria, bueno, daba segundo grado para ser más exacta y debo decir que fue una experiencia donde me encontré con muchos sentimientos y por momentos sentía que iba a explotar, algo que me causaba mucha incomodidad y tristeza porque sentía que me estaba dejando vencer, además a mi alrededor solo se escuchaba el "en mis tiempos", "eso es sencillo", "eres caprichosa" y así, un montón de cosas que me hacían sentir algo impotente.

In previous posts, I mentioned that I started teaching elementary school. Well, to be more precise, I taught second grade, and I must say that it was an experience where I encountered many feelings, and at times I felt like I was going to explode, something that caused me a lot of discomfort and sadness because I felt like I was letting myself be defeated. In addition, all I heard around me was “in my day,” “that's easy,” “you're being capricious,” and so on, a lot of things that made me feel somewhat powerless.
No todo fue de malas experiencias, ya que existieron momentos que me permitieron crear relaciones con personas que, hoy, forman parte de mi red de conocidos o de amistades. También debo decir que compartir con mis estudiantes, en ocasiones era muy gracioso y me sentía tan satisfecha cuando observaba el avance que ellos tenían.
Aunque, en la escuela, me encontré con todos los tipos de padres.
- Con los padres a los que no les importa la condición del niño y les da igual si se les olvida ir a retirarlos a tiempo, a la escuela o incluso, les da igual apoyar al niño en sus avances académicos.
- Padres que prefieren creer todas las mentiras que les dicen los niños, quitando así la poca autoridad que le queda al docente para realizar algún tipo de corrección al estudiante cuando se porta mal dentro del aula de clase o hace algo inapropiado.
- Padres atentos, amorosos, colaborativos y prestos a escuchar las sugerencias del docente para que sus niños avancen.
- Padres que te consideran como un lugar para cuidar a los niños.
Not everything was a bad experience, as there were moments that allowed me to form relationships with people who are now part of my network of acquaintances or friends. I must also say that spending time with my students was sometimes very enjoyable, and I felt so satisfied when I saw the progress they were making.
However, at school, I encountered all kinds of parents.
- Parents who don't care about their child's condition and don't care if they forget to pick them up on time from school or even support their child's academic progress.
- Parents who prefer to believe all the lies their children tell them, thus removing what little authority the teacher has left to correct the student when they misbehave in the classroom or do something inappropriate.
- Attentive, loving, collaborative parents who are willing to listen to the teacher's suggestions so that their children can progress.
- Parents who see you as a place to take care of their children.
Tuve la buena suerte de encontrarme con dos compañeras que eran muy empáticas y entendían perfectamente todo lo que me sucedía, ya que prácticamente ellas también estaban pasando por lo mismo, e incluso, a este punto, a la fecha del 25-07-2025, una de nosotras tres termino el año escolar con una fuerte depresión y, tuvimos que acompañarla fuertemente en los últimos dos meses de clases para que no cometiera una locura y pudiese culminar el año escolar.
Claro, también me encontré en ese punto donde las lágrimas salían sin permiso, donde me sentía como un fracaso y cuando veía a esos estudiantes que seguían sin aprender a leer, que se portaban muy mal, y de paso, hablar con los padres era hablar con la pared. Sumando a todo esto, el tema de que fui denunciada con defensoría escolar por estar pendiente de uno de los niños porque había bajado el rendimiento.
Por otra parte, había ocasiones en que colocarme de acuerdo con mi compañero era totalmente difícil, todo me lo cuestionaba, e incluso en muchas ocasiones me hacía sentir como que mi presencia allí era insignificante. Si, de verdad que a nivel emocional y mental fue una etapa muy fuerte para mí.
Lo cierto es que, todo este tipo de escenario, más la presión que nos aplican los directivos, me sumó un nivel de estrés, y un choque emocional tan fuerte que me descontrole a nivel de que comencé a faltar al menos una vez a la semana, me descontrole horrible con la alimentación, ya que, constantemente tenía mucha ansiedad y sentía que una forma de calmar era masticar algo crocante, por lo que compraba a diario platanos verdes, galletas, y cualquier otra cosa que pudiese comer mientras pasaba el día y, llegue a sufrir dos ataques de ansiedad en mi lugar de trabajo.
Sí, también me enfermé a tal punto que caí en cama y no podía hacer ninguna actividad, ya que me sentía constantemente mareada y con mucho sueño, por lo que tuve que dedicar a penas dos días para dormir mucho, para poder ir el siguiente lunes a cumplir en la escuela y tratar de culminar la semana. Posteriormente a esto, volví a caer en cama.

On the other hand, there were times when it was really difficult to agree with my partner, who questioned everything I did and often made me feel like my presence there was insignificant. Yes, emotionally and mentally, it was a very difficult time for me.
The truth is that this whole situation, plus the pressure from management, caused me so much stress and emotional turmoil that I lost control to the point where I started missing work at least once a week. I also lost control of my eating habits, as I was constantly anxious and felt that one way to calm down was to chew on something crunchy. so I bought green bananas, cookies, and anything else I could eat throughout the day, and I ended up suffering two anxiety attacks at work.
Yes, I also got so sick that I was bedridden and couldn't do anything, as I felt constantly dizzy and very sleepy, so I had to spend two days sleeping a lot in order to go to school the following Monday and try to finish the week. After that, I was bedridden again.

No, de las tres chicas de la foto de arriba, no soy yo la que quedó sufriendo depresión, aunque posiblemente estuve cerca de esa enfermedad o tal vez, simplemente aprendí a vivir con ella.
Bueno, el punto es que, el año escolar culminó. Hicimos nuestra presentación para cerrar el tercer momento y exponer algunos trabajos que se realizaron con los estudiantes.
En este punto, debo decir que muchas dudas surgen sobre cómo seguir dando clase, ya que hasta cierto punto me gustó involucrarme con los niños, enseñar, preparar contenido y material para las clases, además de que me encanta cuando los niños logran comprender las clases y demuestran sus avances. Aunque, esto es un trabajo que implica desgaste físico y emocional. Sin embargo, ahora entiendo muchas cosas y trataría de no involucrarme tanto a nivel sentimental y de tener más dureza sobre ciertos temas para así no permitir que ciertas cosas me afecten.

At this point, I must say that many doubts arise about how to continue teaching, since to a certain extent I enjoyed getting involved with the children, teaching, preparing content and materials for the classes, and I love it when the children understand the lessons and show their progress. However, this is a job that involves physical and emotional exhaustion. Nevertheless, I now understand many things and would try not to get so emotionally involved and to be tougher on certain issues so that certain things do not affect me.
El día en que culminé todas las labores que implicaban para cerrar este año escolar, sentí una profunda necesidad de ir a darme un premio por haber logrado algo que unos cinco, cuatro o tres meses atrás veía imposible, porque muchas veces sentía que no podía más.

The day I finished all the tasks involved in closing out this school year, I felt a deep need to go out and reward myself for having achieved something that five, four, or three months ago seemed impossible, because many times I felt like I couldn't go on.

Me sentí tan plenamente feliz cuando llegue a casa, me acosté un rato para refrescarme y, simplemente con saber que al día siguiente podía levantarme tarde, que no me iba a encontrar con aquellos estudiantes que ya no aguantaba más y, que podía estar en la comodidad de mi casa descansando, señores, debo decir que ese ha sido mi momento más feliz de lo que va del año 2025.
Realmente, en ese momento de que tome la foto, me sentía agotada, con mucho sueño, y mi nivel de socializar con personas estaba en su punto mínimo. Aún sigue bajo, pero la diferencia es que ya estoy de vacaciones y dedicaré unos días para descansar.
I felt so completely happy when I got home. I lay down for a while to freshen up, and just knowing that I could sleep in late the next day, that I wouldn't have to deal with those students I couldn't stand anymore, and that I could be in the comfort of my own home resting, I must say that was my happiest moment so far in 2025.
Actually, at the moment I took the photo, I felt exhausted, very sleepy, and my desire to socialize with people was at an all-time low. It's still low, but the difference is that I'm now on vacation and will spend a few days resting.
