We are all given the same 24 hours daily and some of us are very meticulous in making plans about how our day will go but sometimes, we find that those plans we have so carefully crafted, either in our heads or on a journal, end up going south, leaving us with a feeling of having a not so good day.
Is there ever a perfect day?
I mean a day that just goes according to plans and plots with no twists and turns. Hmm, I think perfect is overrated but if I am to respond to the #hivenaija prompt for this week on three things that need to happen to make my day a perfect one, then I'll try to sum up those things I believe that when they happen, will make my day……”perfect”
The first thing that I am certain can make my day a perfect day is waking up to credit alerts. This might seem to be hilarious In a sense but it is an experience that I cherish a lot.
Every morning after my devotion and gratitude to God for life, the next thing I am picking up is my phone. I want to see if there are any updates and also if ”any money” dropped in 😁.
Imagine waking up to see a credit alert message on your phone for a particular sum, let's say five hundred thousand naira (in my country's currency), believe me, you would sing the hallelujah chorus over and over again. I can even predict that @fashtioluwa and @kingsleyy will do a break dance 😁.
Well, this is me telling my truth o.
The second thing that can happen to make my day a perfect one is good food. Of course after waking up, I need to fuel my body to get started for the day's activities and tasks. I can only do that with good food.
It is no news that I am in the foodie department. Cooking myself a good meal, a meal that's to my taste, can definitely make me feel on top of the world for that day.
Better still, having someone dear to me prepare a sumptuous meal for me is another angle to making my day a perfect one. Who no like better thing?
The last thing that I believe can make my day perfect would be *spending quality time with myself. As I no get plus one for now, then it will just be all by myself I. Celine Dion's voice.
Well, I see nothing wrong in Havi a me time and since I am usually pretty busy, so busy that I hardly catch time for myself. Having a day with no one to attend to, no classes and no work. A day that's just for me to roll up in bed all day. Such a day would be considered as perfect.
I'm not huge on socializing. If you want to catch me, then you'd have to come into my corner where you'll find me either seated and watching a good movie or lying casually in my bed with avoid book in my hands and some chewables by the side.
I believe with this three I have highlighted above, when they happen in a day, I could consider that day worthwhile or maybe….just maybe I could consider that day to be perfect 💗
Thanks for reading. This is my response to the week #100 prompt in the #hivenaija community.
