We all have that one fond memory, that brings a smile to our face each time we remember it or at odd times. It may be of a person, an event or an occurrence in our lives. Tell us about it and why this memory is important to you.
We all had fond memories that always makes us smile each time we remembered them. One day i was laughing after remembering those fonds memories and my daughter started asking me.
Mommy why are you laughing?
It was when I was junior secondary School. I was one of the most brilliant students in my class and in the school generally. I was also one of the funniest and stubborn students hahahaha. One day, I came to school with a short lucozade bottle filled with water. The bottle looks so attractive that i needed my teacher to see it. Hmmmm, i can't stop laughing each time i remember those events. Because of my stubbornness, i prefer siting at the back sit with my best friend Odera. So, when the class teacher arrived, i told my friend that am going to look for her troubles now. I started throwing the bottle up and down in other to deviate her attentions from what she was teaching.
All of a sudden she said, i have seen your Otomopko bottle. Meaning my native medicine bottle. I and other students bust out of laughter. Each time i remembered this including how i was enjoying throwing up and down the bottle, i smiled because i can't try those things agay.
This memory reminds me those days in school. Sometimes i see my child acting those things i did in the past and am trying to correct her from being stubborn like me. It also reminds me that life is full of changes and nothing is permanent. That's why remembering those things is important to me.
I can't forget my late father's drama.
My late Father is a character and each time i remember those things he used to do or say, I can't stop laughing each time i remember one of his drama. When ever my father is hungry, you will hear him shouting
Aba Ngasi, Aba Ngasi
Which means according to him, bring food bring food. Hahahaha, while Aba Ngasi is a one of the streets in Abia state? How come is bring food for my late Dad? Each time he started shouting Aba Ngasi we will start shouting Umu Ahia Umu Ahia. Umuahia is the capital of Abia state. It was all fond memories i can't forget. It helps me to remember the good moments we spend with Dad before he died. It also helps me to understand that am my father's replica because i can make you smile for Africa with my funny talk's and jokes.
Through back of our football games.
Back then in secondary School, i am a game master. I play football game a lot. One day when we were playing football, i passed the ball to one of my teammates Mercy, instead of her to grab the ball, she was terrified and squat down to dodge the ball due to the speed the ball was coming with. You need to see how this girl defended herself instead of defending goal from our goal post. Honestly i couldn't hold myself including others. All bust out of laughter. Each time these three memories came to my mind, it brings smile's on my face.
