When it comes to fashion, I am not crazy about it, and I don't think I dress to impress anybody.
Fashion, to me, is dressing or investing yourself in a way you want to appear to people; it also means knowing what is in vogue or trending, that's if you are the type that likes following trends. I don't think to be fashionable or a fashionista you need to break the bank for that. You need that cloth that brings out the you in you.
I see people use their last card just to look good. Yes, looking good is a good business, but I think you can look good; if you know how to combine colors, that's the first thing to look fashionable.
If I am to describe my fashion sense. I will call it simple but classy. I love simple wears a lot. At times, my friends will be like haba aunty, although you look beautiful, don't you think you are looking too simple. I will answer: I like your first word, beautiful, too simple I don't know about that.
I, for one, love decent wear; I don't like wears that open my entire body for the world to see. I love short gowns but not too short, at least on my knees. I just detest skimpy wear; you can never find those clothes in my closet; any clothes, when worn, will open half of your bum outside, or clothes that you will wear and all your breasts are outside, or any clothes that are too revealing can't be found in my bag.
I don't like clothes that make me uncomfortable; I love my clothes to be comfortable, not too small, not too big, but still give me that perfect shape and elegance. I remember my first time trying to wear a corset, abeg how do you guys breathe?
I would have stuck to what I knew instead of following the trend and almost suffocating, all in the name of maintaining steeze and composure, eeh fine girl, as my little sister's wedding was coming up, she asked that we all sew corset as a family that's for both my cousin and me.
I took my clothes and gave them to the tailor; on D-Day, first, I couldn't wear them without the help of someone; someone needed to be there to tie the back or no way. Finally to sit comfortably was another problem. The major issue was when the bone that they usually put inside broke and started pinching me.
I couldn't wait for the event to be over, but I tried to remain calm but had an injury when I removed the cloth. Since then, I haven't worn that cloth again
I dress up well every day because of my kind of work. But I do dress overly too well depending on the occasion am attending.
My dress for a wedding is quite different from my dress for work, which is mainly cooperate.
Some weeks, I dress as my mood is; some moods, I will put on jeans, trousers throughout, and some gowns.
