Well, heroes wear capes, this is what they say. But In the real sense of it, the most genuine, and most truthful form of love sometimes looks like we are being betrayed, and the toughest decisions are not always coloured in white and black, but I'm different tones of intolerable grey.
If I am given the opportunity to become a hero that will be saving the people's life at the expense of many, or I should become a villain who is going to break a heart just to wake a soul, I will definitely choose to become the villain. The villain who is misjudged and misinterpreted. The one bears the weight and responsibilities of being hated so that another person can live wiser, strong and better.
Because, most often, a lot of individuals will refuse to grow beyond that level when you save them. The either break down or they decide to grow when you leave them. Or they might even decide to stand in their way.
This made me remember one of my close pals back then, even though he was brilliant, bright, kind, upright, his decision were always blind folded which made him stuck in the cycle of always making bad choices. Everyone who surrender him seems to be his hero, always cheering him up, giving him moral support and enabling him with encouragement but I decided to let him.be, cut ties with him, let him fall . I became the villain.
Because of that, he dislike me.
But as times goes on, he realized and was awakened from the wreck. He became more wiser, calculated and stronger. He stood up for himself and summoned the courage to become the man I always wanted him to be, not because I was the one who saved him from this, but because I was unable to.
In most fantasy stories, we usually give accolades to the heros who sacrificed one or two. But in the real sense of it, the one who are brave enough to take the role of the villain for the benefit of someone else's awakening peace, calm and silent martyrdom that everyone seems to avoid with no accolade.
So, yes. I will be happy and decide to be the villain. Not for the thrill of annihilation, but for the purpose and desire of transformation.
Because, at times, the villain is another hero who bears the heavy burden on his chest.
