Almost everyone on earth expects a day when he will get himself a life partner except for those who deliberately want to stay single. Best of all when one is getting married to his friend.

There is this family friend that the sister told me the story of how the brother got his wife, before he introduced her to the family they where already friend with the family and all of them didn't just believe. Now they are some years down the line it looks as if the whole friendship took a new turn. Keeping positive relationship is very important not only when it have to do with marriage but it springs through other things we do in life. An adage says, show me your friend and I will tell the kind of person you are. On a general note, the kind of relationship one keeps can be used to define him or her even when it's not happening that way in the actual sense. In an ideal relationship, one need to stay far from selfishness, most people are just self-centered and that affects the outcome of relationships most times. Care for one another and be truthful no matter what.
As I always hear people say, "wedding is a once in a life time thing". Several people get this word into their head and fail to do things according to the level of their pocket. My husband told me of one of his cousins who didn't think wishly while preparing for his wedding. Most of the this he used was on credit, so as the reception was ongoing he was busy settling depths which was a big distraction to him. No point of going too far to do things that will end up breaking your bones in the name of celebration of just one day and forgetting that marriage is a lifetime journey. This has been the guiding principle for me, there is no best wedding and there is no worst wedding we can only have best homes or worst homes.
One thing that happens in weddings that I don't cherish so much is the way most people clash for food. Kai, I detest that so much. The worst of it is, the people that clash for food in public places are mostly those who it's perceived they have so much and to spare. Some people will go as far as picking double ration while there are those who have not gotten food at all.
One way I feel this will be reduced is to change the system of food distribution. Instead of serving in plates, let the food be packaged and ushers stand at the strategic points so that when people are going out they get their own share and this should be done uniformly.
Well, this suggestion may not work so well because it will cost so much to buy the packaging packs but for those who can avoid it, it's best. My husband's cousin that wedded last month used that method, within a short time everything was over and no one complained of not getting food, before 3PM everything was over. Another complain about food comes from the in-laws and that can lead to everlasting hatred, my husband's cousin made a plan and the in-laws where served differently so all off them went to a particular place to serve themselves and it all went well.
