To so many, hive is a place that is not for them and that's because they have no one guiding them to the right path, they just do what they think is right and what they want to do. Well, since hive is a decentralized platform, it's fine to do things the way you want to but then you might hurt yourself in a long run and even hurt others as well. In this blog, I'd be giving a few tips to those who have been wandering in the shackles of ignorance for too long.
So many times when we get to know about something or be a part of something for the first time, we make the mistake of not trying to learn more about the space we find ourselves and soon enough we get overwhelmed by it and we start losing our interest in the space. Hive like I always say, is a place for everyone because there are so many things it has to offer to anyone, as far to a new born baby, hehe.
Now let's get to find out what anyone can do to navigate through hive!
Explore different contents and communities
The first thing you want to make sure you do on hive is exploring and not just any kind of exploring, you want to explore the different communities and the different contents of those communities. You need to find a niche for yourself on hive, a place that you'd always be welcomed to. There are so many people creating informative contents on the blockchain that would help you know more about what's going on here, so you want to find those contents and leverage on them.
Aside the fact that there are different communities to explore, there are also different Dapps on hive that you need to know about and Explore as well. Just like anyone, I came on hive through a particular Dapp and it was so hard to navigate through other Dapps because I was already use to that particular Dapp. But thanks to the fact that I loved exploring, I was able to give other Dapps a try and I got to know the benefits of these different Dapps and that has also helped me to have a even more robust time here.
There are so many Dapps and each of them have different things they offer to you. For example, the Inleo frontend or Dapp is a frontend that has a very friendly user interface. You can not only make long content posts but you can also make microblogs and get engaged with so many people all over the hive verse. Not just the Inleo frontend, you can also see similar features in the Ecency Frontend called Deck and also the Dbuzz frontend.
Those are some really interesting Dapps you'd love to check out. And also, we have the Peakd Frontend, the Liketu frontend which is best for sharing photos, also we have the Hiveblog frontend and many others. Like I said, the best way to know how these Dapps or frontends works is by exploring them. I know so much about a few of them and that's because I have found what I really wanted in them but then I know we all have different taste so you'd have to look for what works best for you.
Always reply to the comments on your blog
I would have gone for you making comments on others blogs first but then I've come to realize that so many people are fond of leaving the comments on their blogs unattended to which is not so good. People leave a comment on your blog because they read through it (except a few that sounds like bots) so courtesy demands that you at least appreciate their efforts for that. Never leave a comment to your post unattended to except in few cases when you miss it or something.
By replying to those comments, you get to make people feel welcomed to your blog and they'd always want to stop by your blog to see what you have for them. So if you don't have people coming around to comment on your blog you might think you are not a good writer or something but that's because you don't engage with them at all. They'd prefer to go interact with someone who would appreciate their efforts on their blogs.
Read other's contents and make quality comments
It is one of the surest way to navigate through the hive blockchain. For you to enjoy your experience her on the blockchain, one thing you have to do is engaging with others as much as you can on a daily basis. By doing so, you get to build a good reputation for yourself that will pay off in a long run. Speaking from experience, I got to grow my followers tremendously through my engagements on the contents of other users. And till tomorrow, I've made quite a lot of friends too thanks to the effort I put into it.
All of these things might seem hard to do but then when you put in a little effort, you'd see a good result in no time. Hive is a place for you and these are just simple ways you can prove that to yourself. Even if you are not so good at creating long contents, you can check out those Dapps that have microblogging and start your journey from there.
Feel free to ask any questions if you have any, I'd be right here to help you with more tips if needed.
