You know one interesting thing about writing? It's how the most random thing can inspire you to write. One minute you feel stuck and the next minute you are writing nonstop, and that my friend is awesome.
Today was one of those days when I did not feel like writing. I couldn’t think of anything. Usually, once it’s 8:00 pm, I just give up but today was different. A few minutes after 8:00 pm ideas started flowing, I was writing and now you are reading, hehehe.
So on my way back from a workshop, I decided to go check my weight in a nearby pharmarcy. I climbed onto the scale, and the pharamacist read out the numbers and I laughed. The pharmacist asked why I laughed and I said it was because of my weight, and this time it was the pharmacist's turn to laugh.
I laughed because the difference between when I checked my weight three months ago and now was 1kg. Lol Did you laugh too, or perhaps smile?😃.
For someone who eats the way I do 1kg was just too small and funny.
That’s the dilemma of being a slim girl, you lose more weight than you can add. While a lot of people can add as much as 10kg without trying too hard or doing too much, 10kg to some of us seems far-fetched.
When people see me eating they tease me about where all the food is going and I tell them it's been stored in a reservoir.
I stopped giving people the freedom and pleasure to tease me because of my body size years ago and honestly, it wasn’t easy.
I saw a video of a vendor begging sizes 4,6 and 8 to buy clothes from her. The comment section was blowing up as this category of people kept talking about how their clothes from many years ago still fit perfectly, welcome to the slim world where your old clothes fit you so well, Lol you literally grow into them.
Being slim is so beautiful, but the society we find ourselves in has conditioned us to feel a certain way as opposed to our thick counterparts, hence the multiple BBL flying around.
People are no longer comfortable with their body size because they don’t measure up to the beauty standard of our society.
While we struggle to add weight, people struggle to lose weight, and oh boy it’s not easy to lose weight. Sometimes I’m grateful for not being on the other side, how can I keep up the constant intermittent fasting and special diets? How?
While I love my body and would cherish it for life, but I can’t help but laugh at how hard it is to gain just a little weight, 1kg? Lol, it’s still cracking me up. It took me 3months to gain 1kg but believe me if I should fall sick more than 4kg will be gone in no time, story of my life but regardless I’m a slim girl for life🥰
