Good evening, everyone in the Hive community.
I'm thrilled to write to you all on this topic after my experiences today.👇
**How It All Started..
I was opportuned to be friends with many people from different departments in this university, and it gave me the privilege to know a lot about people’s personal lives.
Today, a female friend of mine from the Department of Plant Science and Technology came to my lodge to eat. While we were eating, we started discussing how life has been in school, because my department, Veterinary Medicine, is the most busy department in my school. Every day, our lectures start by 8am and end by 5pm, sometimes even 6pm.
Because of this busy schedules of mine, I only have time for myself during weekends. I also try as much as possible to socialise with people unlike most of my coursemates who are bookworms. 😃
**The Story She Shared With Me

After eating a well prepared beans by me, my female friend started sharing her roommate's story with me and me I like stories
She told me that her roommate is 26 years old this year, while she herself is just 22. But her roommate behaves like someone that doesn’t know anything about life due to lack of exposure to some certain areas if life.
I asked what please what happened ?
She said that back in 200L (they are currently in 300L second semester), her roommate entered a romantic relationship that could’ve cost her life. She was dating a guy who had sex with her raw (without condom), and she had been taking Postinor 2 an emergency contraceptive drug used to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
This girl took a total of 6 Postinor 2 (the ones my friend knew about) within just 6 months of the relationship. Ai generated pictures
My friend kept warning her roommate to stop the guy from having unprotected sex with her, but she wouldn’t listen. She always said she didn’t want to lose her relationship with him. She thought my friend was just jealous, whereas my friend wasn't even in any relationship.
At the end of the day, the guy broke up with her.
She was left heartbroken, and worse still, the drugs had compiled to cause a benign tumor (noncancerous growth) in her breast. When she went to the hospital, the doctor confirmed it would need to be removed surgically.
This is how a 25years old lady got herself into something that touches the heart all because of lack of exposure. According to my friend, this was her roommate’s first relationship. Her virginity was taken by this boy who never loved her, but deceived her completely. She ignored all the signs because she was always locked indoors at home before getting admission into university.
My Advice to Parents
Personally, I have had a lot of experiences with guys who were locked indoors at home, never allowed to socialise, never allowed to gain sex knowledge, because their parents believed keeping them inside was the best form of training.
But here in school, 70% of smokers, prostitutes, and fraud guys are from homes like that homes where parents thought their children could be trained just by locking them in.
So please, parents and everyone reading this life story...
Is it not time we start teaching our children the real truths about life? Let them know the evil that exists out there. Let them know the implications of their actions. Teach them before they get into the university, not after.
If not, bad boys and bad girls waiting to deceive innocent ones will prey on them.
Let Them Know
Get your children exposed.
Allow them relate with friends.
Teach them how to know real friends.
Help them learn how to build strategic relationships as they grow.
Let them know how to avoid evil and stay safe.
After you teach them all these, give them sex education. Let them know what to expect when they get into the university. I beg you all ,because my 5 years in university has taught me a lot, and I can’t wait to pass that knowledge to my children when I get married.
Thank you all for reading through this. Please share this knowledge with others. 🙏
