Humans are gifted and there's no better way to emphasise on that. I mean, right from beginning of time, humans keep coming up with new inventions from God's creation and I believe God gave the power and wisdom to make them come up with the ideas and means to go about bringing them to reality. There are talents with no learning.
Growing up, I had so much learning from my dad, from neighbors, from class mates and even from just watching movies. There's like a million things to learn every day but it's still so surprising how we can do some things without actually going through any learning process and we do it even better than some who paid so much to learn it.
I use to think that I don't have much talents as a person, I actually still think so but the difference now is that, I try to learn new things and find more it where I can show strength in. But even long before now, I've had good talents that were not learned but have impacted my life better than the things I've learned through many sacrifices.
While I was growing up, about 9 years old, I had this big love for reading books. It still surprises me how I've grown cold with holding books to read now because everyone around me then thought I'd never go far from books for too long. I read almost anything in ink and so my guardians made sure I had good books around to be safe.
Well, that isn't the thing I didn't learn but what that habit built in me. I know I can say I was taught how to read and write but the ability to tell the story or write my own stories in words that anyone understands, appreciates and give great remarks on, no one taught me that. Although I could say I got the inspiration from the books.
I have this easy way of telling stories and I totally enjoy doing it, this has helped me become a better writer today. I didn't start writing just a few years back, it was right from when I was like 9 to 10 years old. I had so many hand written story books that friends would want to borrow to read, back then, I didn't see that it was a great talent.
Another skill I didn't get any formal training on is, cooking. I lived with only my dad and he did most of the cooking until my first trial while he was away. The start may not have been a good one but today, I can boldly say I cook so many meals like a pro without any guidance. I also think cooking with good hygiene is my unlearned skill.
Mere tasting a new meal, I could guess a lot of the ingredients used in making it but there's no doubt I do my own researches to better the tastes of my own meals. If it's by, I had someone actually call me close in the kitchen to learn every little thing about how it works, I never had such but I'm a better chef than many who did learned.
Like I said, I'm not one with many physical talents but these ones I didn't learn formally and I'm good at them to a good extent that I am proud of. I see these talents as a God given gifts and my plan to make use of them for great reasons while I learn more from others to be more talented.
