Greetings to all hivenaija members, and welcome to my blog for this entry. Today I've come to share little on the this week topic on how hive open my eyes and change things for me
If someone had told me some years ago that I would one day find a community online that will change my mindset, connect me to amazing people, and even make me money while writing from my small phone, I would have laugh and pass. But today, Hive is not just a platform to me, it’s a family, a place of growth, and a real eye opener that show me the power of consistency, value and community support
I joined Hive out of curiosity. I just dey waka online one evening, looking for legit ways to earn, and a friend of mine introduced hive to me through WhatsApp chat. At first, I didn’t understand what it was really about. “blockchain”, “crypto”, “content creation”, all those terms confuse me. But something inside me just say, "Try this thing, you never know."
When I made my first post, I was even shy. I no sure say anybody go read am. But people read it, upvoted it, and even comment with encouragement and corrections. That was the first time in a long while I felt like my voice matter, like what I had to say was useful. Hive give me a new kind of confidence
As time go on, I begin to meet people from different part of the world, Ghana, India, Philippines, South Africa, and even some from my own country Nigeria. I never imagine say I fit connect with people I’ve never seen, yet feel like we know each other well. Some of them became my mentors, some became friends, and some even push me to start learning things I never thought I fit do like graphic design, better writing, and even video editing
The biggest impact Hive had on me is that it teach me patience and the value of growth. Unlike some platforms where it’s all about trend and chasing likes, Hive reward realness. If you’re consistent and you offer value, people will notice. I don’t just post for money again, I post to share, to teach, and to learn from others too
Also, Hive help me improve my English. Though I'm still not perfect when writing yet but before, I used to be scared to write because of grammar, but now, I write boldly, even if mistake dey, I no dey fear again. I know say I’m growing. The encouragement from the community is something I don’t take for granted
To be honest, Hive changed my mindset from “just hustle anyhow” to “grow with purpose.” I now understand that there are many good people online, and that a simple post can change someone’s day or even life
So yes, Hive didn’t just change my perspective, it change me. And I’m grateful for every bit of it
