In one of my recent posts, I was telling us of how I would love to explore the world and go places for the sake of tourist attractions.
Exploring the hidden corners of the globe has always fascinated me. Traveling has been a part of me, because I love experiencing different cultures, trying new foods, and engaging with locals.

However, despite my love for adventures, there's one country that I do not wish to go to for now, and that is North Korea. The current governing bodies there are very authoritative, and that's a huge factor hindering me from going there.
Visiting the nation of North Korea at this period would definitely give rise to many set of challenges, particularly when it comes to restrictions and surveillance.
Because every tourist entering the country is required to join a government approved tour, which must be led by guides who are tasked with monitoring every aspect of the visit.
You won't believe that it is these guides that would determine how your experience would be, because they would control what you ought to see and what you can't see, which is a no no for me. I love my freedom to explore life oo.
Infact, legend has it that tourists are frequently searched and controlled for security purposes. I am not against their security awareness level, but imagine visiting a place and you are only allowed to see what the government have designed for you to see, lol.
Many people might be comfortable with the restrictions, but for a visitor like me, I wouldn't be comfortable. I even heard that taking of photographs are prohibited in some of the areas there.
What really interests me about other places or countries are their cultures and traditions. This is because every country tend to have their unique styles and cultural displays.
But for a country that doesn't guarantee me my freedom of expression, how can I then think of enjoying their culture. I don't know if I am completely wrong about this, but the major news I have been hearing about North Korea are based only on their nuclear ambitions and military power.

What a scary country it is for me, because I am a lover of peace and good cultures. Thinking about North Korea, I just remembered a quote which states: "There's freedom of speech on the book, but freedom after speech is usually not guaranteed', lol.
Why would there even be a right to freedom of speech and expression, when in essence I might be in big trouble after my expression.
Although it's good for a government to secure it's nation in the best possible ways it can, I still think they should be a limit to it's control. I have learned that too much of everything is bad, even if it's something sweet.
Of all the reasons why I wouldn't want to visit North Korea for now, the most personal reason for me is the fact that the current regime have got some strict rules against the use of social media and even on basic web browsing.

That means it would be difficult to navigate around the globe when am in the borders of this nation. I know they are very secure, but if I have got options, I won't go there.
I appreciate your time here famz❤️:-)
