I welcome you to my blog. As we live life and travel from one place to another, just as life requires of us, we come across different people. Some of these people are on the same page with us, and some are on a different page and are ready to argue with you to the end of the world to get you to join their own page, and if you fail to get on their side, they move like they want to beat you up, and sometimes you are forced to cause the argument to die down just to stop things from escalating. There are people who, if you are not on the same page with them, take it personally. There are people who, arguing with them or not being on the same page with them, is a very bad idea.
And there are some people who, even if you are on different pages with them, are cool with it as long as you have points to back up their stand, and arguing with people like this can actually be enjoyed, unlike the first set of people who are very toxic to actually argue with; trust me, there are people who avoid arguing with, and there are people who arguing with them can be considered fun because of how they do it. We all have that particular hill we are willing to die on, even if the entire world is against us. We have that particular point of view that will never change; no matter how many people kick against it or see things differently from how we see it, we are still not willing to change or accept their own side of view.
That hill I am dying on is that your uncles and aunties owe you nothing; even if they were able to get to the position they are in with the help of your parents, you are not entitled to help from them. I have come across people who cut off uncles and aunties just because they did not offer them help when they needed it, but for me, I don't see help not coming from uncles and aunties as a problem; the money and whatever assistance they can offer is theirs, and they can do with it as they choose. We all need to learn that if they help, we appreciate it, and if they don't, we have to sort ourselves out and not bear grudges.
I have seen people who feel entitled to help from uncles and aunties just because their parents helped the uncle or auntie when they needed help, but the truth is, because they were lucky to get help from your parents, it does not make it mandatory that they help you in order to pay back the help they got from your parents. Your parents, who even offered to help, did not do it to be paid back. I wonder why you, who are only their child, would have such high expectations, and if they fail to meet your expectations, you start to bear grudges to the point of wanting to cause problems between them and your parents.
