Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Hive-Naija. So let's dive in.
Imagine waking up one morning and you realised you're 10 years younger, you would be shocked isn't? Because when you look around you saw your house you lived with your parents, or even wearing the same clothes you wore back then. But you still have your current memories.That's exactly what happened to me. At first, I was very confused then I asked myself "is this real or I'm dreaming"? , when I looked in the mirror and saw my younger face, I was shocked because there's no pimples, and fade away injuries, just the younger self of me. That's how I started understanding what was happening.
Although I had gone back in time(my younger self) but my mind was still the same. That's when I realised that this is a big opportunity for me, like a second chance.
My First Reaction
Honestly, I laughed. Not because the situation I was in was funny but because I felt like God had given me a second chance to fix all my past mistakes. That's when I started remembering all my past mistakes, the opportunities I was scared to take because I was thinking I'm still young. I decided I wasn't going to waste time doing what didn't make me happy. I will use the second chance to correct all my mistakes starting from showing off my talent which is dancing. This time around, I promised myself that I would be real completely myself, no matter what people think about me.

My Missed Opportunities I Would Chase.
One of the biggest regrets I had was not starting early on things I loved. Back then I love dancing, but I didn't take it serious, thinking people's will make fun of me. Imagine if I had started dancing 10 years ago, who knows where I'd be today?
Another mistake I learned is that failure doesn't mean the end. Before, when I was younger when I failed, I would give up quickly thinking it's not for me, instead of me to keep trying. But now, I understand that failure is just part of life. And it teaches us lesson, so that next time we will be careful. So this time, I would keep trying, even when things don't work out the first time, I will keep trying until it's perfect.
Changing my future with wisdom.
With 10 years of memory in my head, I now know what mistakes not to repeat because then I made lot of mistakes.
In conclusion, if I woke up 10 years younger with my current memories, I would live smarter, I wouldn't repeat the same mistakes again. I will make purpose, and enjoy every moment with gratitude.
Also, even though in real life, we can't go back in time because it's already past, but we must remember that it's never to late to change our life, we can restructure ourselves the way we want to be or live? We can start from today, let us learn from our past, take better steps, and live with more purpose.
