Hello everyone, my beautiful hive naija people, it's another beautiful weekend and we are so happy to have you here once again. It’s nice to get everyone together every weekend to talk about random things and just have fun.

OBJECTIVE
As we all know, the Hive Naija Weekend Engagement is focused on promoting the togetherness of the Nigeria brethren through engagement and it's also now concerned of the well being of each and everyone who is part of the engagement. This account was opened to make the engagement more personal and official. You can find the INTRODUCTION POST to read more about the purpose and aim of this new account and also do well to follow the account so as to know when a post is made.
A long time ago, I thought, I shared and I asked "Why don't we chat on hive every Weekend?"
And you all said... YES
"Well, we won't be the first as there are some weekend engagement trends already on Hive! But this would be THE NIGERIAN VERSION!"
The last time, the topic was ”TRUST ISSUES

We had over 600+ comments in our last weekend engagement. Everyone came together and shared their interesting and honest opinions about the topic. There were jokes, harmless banter, and valuable lessons. This is just the beginning! Let’s see if we can make 1000 comments possible this weekend, shall we? 👀. It has always been so nice seeing people who dedicate their time to engaging and sharing their thoughts and ideas with us, I want to appreciate you all for the consistency, quality engagement and your efforts, let's keep them coming. Special thanks to everyone who makes this hang out possible.

I will drop a topic every Friday (Today's topic is below), share your thoughts on the matter, reply to someone else opinion, and interrogate the opinion if you like. Keep the discussion on. If you don't have anything to say about the topic. Just reply to someone else's comment.
Do all these in the comment section, as that is where it all goes down.

This week's engagement starts immediately after you see this post and ends on Sunday at 11:59 pm.

LOVE OR FINANCIAL SECURITY?

Now to our discussion for this weekend! We will be discussing “LOVE AND FINANCIAL SECURITY” Back in the day, our parents and even grandparents got married mostly for love. They got married to people who made them smile and happy. Even when they didn't have money, they got married, started building together and somehow, they made it work. But in this generation, things have changed. People are coming out to say “Love doesn't pay bills. I can'settle for someone who is struggling.”
What do you think about this? Which one should come first, love or financial security?
"Which should come first, love or financial stability?"
OR
- Would you marry someone you love deeply even if they are struggling financially?
Remember, the aim of the hangout is to bring Nigerians together so make sure you have this in mind when responding to the questions. And feel free to add even more to it if you have any.
If you think you have a topic you would want us to discuss about, please feel free to suggest them to us. All you have to do is suggest the topic in the comment and tag @sam.hangout to it.
Okay Let's Gist!!!!
Be as simple and sincere with the discussion, hehehe.

Don't you think we are forgetting somebody?... Well, I'm sure we are...

FRIDAY PLANS, OWANBE SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY REFLECTIONS
On Friday, we talk about our goals for the weekend. Will you be indoor throughout or do you have a date to plan? Owanbe Saturday is a day to share interesting gists about parties. You can also share pictures. On Sunday, we reflect and share our plans for the new week. Let’s see how it goes!

There are no further rules, please banter as you like, speak any Nigerian language (Igbo, Yoruba, pidgin, Efik), anything, as long as someone else can understand.
Pls note : However, please don't take it to the extreme.
With all that said, let the discussion begin....
