During my absence, I found solace in content from various social media platforms, with Instagram and TikTok being my favorites. While consuming content from diverse sources, I gained insights and inspiration not just from individual posts but from a collection of posts across random pages. I would like to share how some of these have influenced me.
On Instagram, I frequently visited a particular page featuring anonymous rants from individuals across different walks of life. Some rants are astonishing, while others are quite relatable—indeed, plenty things dey this world shaa.

On TikTok, I enjoy a variety of content, particularly comedy and religious themes. About two years ago, I followed a young woman studying in Saudi Arabia, whose content I adored. After she married and had a baby while still in school, I gradually lost track of her. However, just this morning, I stumbled upon her page again on Instagram. Please bear with me as I elaborate.
Approximately five years ago, I was enamored by another content creator. At that time, I was not very familiar with TikTok, so I primarily consumed her content on Facebook and YouTube. After her marriage, she seemed to disappear from the scene, posting infrequently. However, after welcoming two children, she made a triumphant return, looking better than ever, and her content has significantly improved.
There’s also another content creator who has been consistently active since she began, even after getting married and having a child.
Reflecting on these experiences, it struck me how a supportive partner can profoundly impact a woman’s career. I have previously been in a relationship where my partner impeded my progress. It wasn’t until I left that relationship that I began to reclaim my sense of self. Taking the necessary time to heal and being with a more supportive person has made a significant difference in my life.

This leads me to conclude that having a supportive partner is crucial for women navigating their careers. As women, we often take on multiple roles—mothers, wives, caregivers—and balancing these responsibilities can be challenging. A supportive partner can help ensure that we do not lose sight of our goals while navigating life’s complexities.
I am proud of my fellow content creators for their resilience and relevance despite the challenges they face as women. I also commend their partners for providing them the space to thrive and be the individuals we admire.
