It's Hive Naijah's weekly engagement week 59.
Having to accept the fact that someone tells you the truth is difficult, but at the end of everything, you need to understand that you will be better after you take to cognizant whatever you were told.
There are people that frown at the truth, but trust me, they always take the truth, especially if many people say the same thing.
You need to know that it takes a lot of courage to say the real truth to someone, especially when it involves something embarrassing.
My mother was the only person that could look me in the eyes to tell me the truth, no matter how bitter the truth was.
My mom would call me and say
"You have messed up."
I was always very good at telling lies; I mean, even when I'm got, I would still say I didn't do anything, and mom always knew that I was lying. Mom would tell me to calm down and rethink before I said it the second time.
One day mom called me and then told me that I lie a lot and that she was beginning to suspect that I was a thief, and I was like
"what"
She would tell me that she could detect whenever I lied, and she would tell me to tell the truth, and then I would not have any choice but to say the truth. This has really helped me as I have become thrust worthy and people can be free to do any business without having to fear if they will be dubbed.
Telling the truth is something you need to learn, as this would help you be a better person and faithful in everything you do.
Another person that tells me the truth about myself is my immediate sister. I mean, she can just come inside the room and tell me that she wants to tell me something, and then she will begin to talk straight to me.
She would tell me how bad my character is and make it look as if she wanted it to change immediately.
I remember that she always told me that I talk too much and argue too much, and that can scare people away from me.
My sister would tell me to always stay without arguing and see things from different perspectives so that other people can be accommodated in my life. This has really helped in my work, as I listen to everyone's advice and opinion. If I don't learn how to, I will not be able to manage people for a long time. Having to accept them for who they are is something I learned from the correction I got from my younger sister.
The truth is something hard, but if we apply it to our lives, everyone will be better, and there will be harmony. Always accept the truth and work on yourself because you are not just leaving alone in the world; you are also leaving with people too.
