Hey lovelies, it's a beautiful morning here in naija and the spirit is alive, it's 2025 and all I've got to tell you is “modupe oluwa oluwa yeah yeah joy us coming joy is coming.
We all know the song by our fellow Fiddo, the song is actually a banger right now.
While I was going through the prompt for the week I saw many words listed and the one that got me is joy. Even as I'm writing this post, I can feel the joy in my spirit. It's so real and elevating.
Last month I had series of joy throughout the month and even this month, the feeling of joy often trigger questions and you will hear questions like
Hwfa wetin dey make you happy like this?
This one you dey happy abeg show me the way na?
Chairman abeg show some love
This is Nigeria and we all know these things, joy is a very valued character here in naija because of how the country is, so anyone that's rejoicing has something to tell everyone.
Last month I met this kids, they both are siblings, a boy and a girl, the came to fetch water at my place where I stay, it was funny at first when I saw the both of them, the look on their faces shows how happy they were and as part of what I said earlier I was thinking what could be the reason behind this children's joy,
well they both came and told me brother please we want to fetch water, I saw it that they weren't even with money, so I had to ask if they were sent to fetch they said yes.
I don't know why I was still laughing because a mere looking at this kids I was just laughing their looks was something else. I just had to let them fetch the water and go.
They both made my day and I was so happy.
Nigerians are they only people that materialize joy. Joy is supposed to be a feeling but this people have been able to make it exist physically as something that can be seen, touched and examined😂
However the joy of last month was a series buy I'm just gonna share two of them, last month I was opportuned go to my village again after a very long time, that alone was another joy, thinking about seeing those my old village friends was cool but funny enough I didn't even leave our compound to anywhere because of how the place looked.
The joy I had was trippled when my dad brought food for us, mehn.. that was when I concord that food is a joy giver.
Who talk say food no dey give joy, have you tried a pounded yam with White soup that's made with chicken and goat meat before?
Or have you tasted a well prepared afang soup with goat meat and stocks? You will just be smiling throughout the week.
It's good to be happy, joy is mandatory in every man's life no matter how tough it might be try to be joyful once in a while.
