I was so intentional about taking up a course in a department in school where there are no fine guys in other to avoid any distraction. But there was this guy who was very cute, most handsome, and tall and had a sweet voice among all the guys in my department.
I’ve always looked for a way to talk to him at least to begin our friendship but it was difficult, each time I see him he is always surrounded by other ladies. What do you expect, a fine guy like him, and I’m telling you ladies were rushing him. However, I waited for the perfect timing and I had it. This time he wasn’t flocked around with the female folks, I finally succeeded to stand next to him.
You won’t believe what happened.
I started perceiving a foul smell and all of a sudden I could not breathe. This guy’s had a terrible smell, it was so bad that I began to choke. Immediately, the crush feelings just disappeared. I lost the chemistry. The only thing that saved me was that I did not even say a word to him yet, imagine that just standing close to him and I was already choking so badly, who knows what would have happened within few seconds of communicating with him- maybe I would have collapsed.
Since I was not a close friend to the guy, I decided to walk up to a close friend of his and talk to him about the way his friend doesn’t smell nice. I couldn’t do it myself because I was scared of how the guy would respond if I had told him. That’s because we were not close.
However, if it’s someone I am close to, like my siblings or a close friend or relative. One of the ways I usually handle their bad smell is by:
Firstly, talking to them calmly about it and most times in a playful way.
Most times when I tell people about the unpleasant smell they have, their response is usually “will you buy for me?” .Some of them are always polite when asking that question, I’ve had a few as well who are always rude. All the same, a person’s response would determine if I would take the next step:
Secondly, purchasing a nice deodorant for them. Oh yeah, I do go all the way to purchase and gift people a nice deodorant especially, when I see that they sincerely, do not have the money to purchase it or even some who are too busy that they tend to neglect themselves.
Furthermore, by reinforcing the desired behavior. I ensure that I compliment those people who once had a bad smell but no longer do so. If I could criticize them for having a bad smell, what stops me from complimenting them when they start smelling nice?
As a young lady, I value myself so much and that is why I take care of my body by smelling nice. It is really important to me that I smell nice especially as a young lady because it attracts a lot of benefits like receiving several compliments in day from both strangers and people I know. More so, it boost my self-confidence. I have lost count of the number of friends I had because I had a nice smell.
Hence, the following are ways I smell nice but not limited to:
Having my bath twice daily.
Showering thrice in a day, especially when the weather is really sunny.
I avoid putting on tight clothes. I’m not a fan of bogus clothes, I just prefer clothes that are fit; not too big, not too small.
And lastly, I purchase deodorants that have nice fragrance because it is not all deodorants that smell nice. That is why, I intentionally perceive any deodorants be it perfume or roll-on or body spray before buying it.
You may be asking what about those cosmetics shops you go to and you’re not allowed to perceive the deodorants first?
I would say you should go elsewhere and buy your deodorants so that you don’t end up looking fresh with a rank smell
