Liz Wheeler's got the goods on various Democrat or Democrat-aligned figures in the US speaking of their perception of price increases and inflation in the US. Especially since Joe Biden moved into the White House, I might add - I suspect their tone would be different if they were in the opposion.
Wheeler compiled a few of them, from Paul Krugman to Joe Biden himself to Janet Yellen, speaking about the inflation and price increeases being either insignificant, or predicted, expected, normal events, how it s "nothing to see here, let's move along" part of life.
Ity is quite interesting on many levels. For one thing, leftists used to be the party of the little guy, or at least so they positioned themselves. I think by now it is clear they are not - they are the party of a consolidated elite which they wish to see take power in every facet of life. That is why, strangely enough, they can at the same time be enamoured with Che Gevara and support large multi-national corporations as both are entities seeking and approving of massive centralized power.
Another interesting thins is the level of disconnect from the reality required to, for example, view a 60% increase in gasoline prices (and yes, that is how much it has increases since this time last year) as an insignificant circumstance. Like elites before them, they are growing delusional.
And another part of it is that anyone who stands for small business, for rationalism, for economy that is outside of the realm of those elites stands to become a hero of the people. I really hope a new liberty movement emerges - and it may even be the new parallel society movement. The time may be ripe for wresting the power away from these entrenched elites.
