First of all I want to give a big greeting to all the friends of hive and especially to the members of this prestigious community as Informationwar. I want to share with all of you this publication related to some considerations about the reopening of the border will improve the expectations of the economy between the neighboring countries.
Since before the elections in Colombia and with the nomination of the current president it was said that if he won the relations between the brother countries could change historically, since they were going through a period where the two rulers in power did not have the best relations and the border closure was imminent.
This decision caused many more problems than what was already happening to the economy of both countries, because it formalized the illegality where the most benefited would be the irregular groups and the military forces of both countries.
However, with the arrival to the presidency of Petro in Colombia, new ideas arose to recover the border with Venezuela, and it is then where they could reach agreements for its reopening which is scheduled for September 26, 2022, where citizens of both countries will be able to move across the border in a pedestrian and vehicular manner complying with the regulations established in the agreement.
This will undoubtedly lead to the establishment of agreements for air flights and maritime transit, which will undoubtedly energize the border and allow the binational economy to have a new air, to enhance the two countries in need of each other.
Traders see this decision as very positive and necessary since they are going through very difficult times financially and where neighboring countries have been historic trading partners and political decisions would arbitrate have rotated that natural link that exists.
This decision will transcend, to start again that relationship that had several years and that due to the effect of the pandemic generated a setback to the economies of both countries.
Undoubtedly, it is expected that exports will mark the beginning of a new economic cycle for both Venezuela and Colombia, where the world can see that the people must prevail and not the will of a minority that for political reasons harm the people for the development and transformation of their economies.
