I really hate the mainstream media. I think that most people feel the same way aside from the true NPC's of the world that are incapable of having an original thought process. Recently, I have been taking aim at the absolutely horrible news source that is unfortunately followed by millions of people, all of whom are regularly being fed bad information.
I was scrolling their list of BS articles when I stumbled upon one that at least from the blurb, seemed to break away from their highly partisan stories and showed some sort of unification within the Senate, which is always nice and also very rare to see these days.

When you get to the link the story briefly (perhaps that is where the "brief" comes from?) talks about how the Senate voted 100-0 on cutting military aid to Azerbaijan out of fears that they are prepping to invade Armenia, which is a country I know almost nothing about but all of Europe seems to hate for some reason.
My main question when reading this story was "why are we sending military aid to Azerbaijan?"
So it seems as though CB wanted to highlight that there are instances where the highly partisan and always voting in certain patters Senate is able to come together on certain things.

Well that's great right? In these tumultuous times it is nice to see this group of millionaire asshats get along about something every now and then right? Thanks for pointing this out Conservative Brief! Well done on some actual news!
Unfortunately that is not what this article is about but instead, it was a "bait and switch" article which unfortunately is all too common with all of the news media these days.
The article in question is roughly 1000 words long and they only talked about what the headline is about for exactly 187 of those words. The rest of it is partisan brainwashing designed to spout propaganda enough times to the point where it becomes truth to those dumb enough to believe it.
While I have no love for Nancy Pelosi (who isn't even in the Senate) they spent most of the article bad-mouthing her and digging up old stories about how she supported tariffs in the past but now all of a sudden has a problem with them. I think this is indeed important to point out to the public but why do a sneak attack with it? If you want to write about that put that in the headline.
They then went on to showcase some interviews that were less than flattering regarding Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and AOC, 2/3 of which have absolutely nothing to do with the headline and story that is meant to be taking place here.
Basically very little of what they wrote has anything to do with what the headline is and no, this is not a mistake, nor is it rare for Conservative Brief - which is just an absolute trash can of "news."
I am no conservative basher. I tend to lean conservative on most issues. But that doesn't mean that I am going to blindly follow any self-proclaimed conservative publication just because of the tribalism that runs rampart in our lives these days.
I think that a lot of people could benefit greatly by not allowing media and especially social media to influence how they think. Take a minute to reflect on how YOU, the individual feel about something, and forget about the charismatic politicians and the mud-slinging operations that take place in hundreds of publications every single day. Take a look at allsides.com as they present left, right, and center writeups about almost any hot topic in the news so you can see exactly how much bias is put into almost any topic in existence.
We cannot trust the media on either side. The left isn't correct but neither is the right. They are both completely full of doo doo.
If you are reading Conservative Brief I strongly encourage you to read almost anything else or even just read nothing. Any option is better than getting your "news" from sources that are deliberately misleading you with everything that they say.
