Of all the things out there that can be considered actually Independent, the news publication called the Independent is not even on the list. The are are about independent, politically speaking, as Tucker Carlson or Nancy Pelosi is. I don't know why they chose that name for their publication but they are anything but independent and are a very far left media organization.
They also specialize in gossip based on unnamed sources which as far as anyone who is serious about facts can see, are almost certainly completely made up stories: Not that any of that matters in today's media climate though - we've gotten to the point where when someone actually names a source I am genuinely surprised.

In one of their latest articles they decided to for once not make everything about glorifying everything that leftists do and changed gears a bit to speculate about what the life of Melania Trump is like right now. This garbage article is riddle with assumptions, anonymous sources, and overall has a "who gives a shit?" feel to it.
So what sort of nasty stuff do they have to say about the ex first-lady? They say that she is ignoring the Impeachment trial and is jealous over the attention that Jill Biden is getting. Their source? Well you know, the usual "a source close to the Trump family" or something along those lines. They never state a person's name, position, or even a clue as to who it might be which to me means that they are simply making it up... which is what a great deal of media is these days anyway.

They also continually refer to her as Ms. Trump which is not the prefix you use for someone that is currently married to someone that is currently alive. I don't know if this is a stab at attempting to indicate that Donald Trump is dead or if it just a complete lack of journalistic integrity: I'm guessing it is a mixture of both.
They also took opportunities to say that she was upset with her husband for ruining her public image - and of course they have no source or proof for this other than another one of those "anonymous sources" which basically means they completely made it up and this is a hit piece. This is basically what every article The Independent does so honestly, if they did have a real source or some sort of objective article anywhere on their website that was about anything of substance, personally I would be shocked.
They also took the opportunity to suggest that she is going to spa all the time and ignoring the media as well as spending time with her parents... as if any of these things are a bad thing.
They wasted no time carrying on to mention that Melania's parents are now citizens and then tried to draw references to how this kind of "chain migration" is something that her husband wanted to outlaw. They kind of glance over the fact that Melania's parents' immigration process, despite their obvious connections to extremely powerful people, took YEARS to accomplish.
The Independent is a trash news outlet that if people still bought paper copies of anything, would belong right next to The Enquirer at grocery store checkout lanes. The only difference between the two is that The Enquirer was very forthcoming about the fact that their news stories were mostly satire.
