When the story broke not that long ago that Coca-Cola, one of the largest and most recognized brands in the world had an internal memo to staff members telling them to "be less white" this went viral very quickly. Conservative outlets hit back at this and Coke tried their best to convince the public that this isn't something that actually happened and that there was no such memo.

Despite their best attempts to spin this as a lie, the company was busted when various whistleblowers inside the organization admitted that it was part of a training program and was viewable on LinkedIn. Of course it is not viewable now as they scrambled to delete all traces of it. They later admitted that it was part of a curriculum that they produced, but was not any part of any required training to work at Coca-Cola

There are a lot of mostly conservative news outlets that ran with this story but it didn't remain in the news for very long. Trump sent out a message to his millions of followers on whatever platforms that he is still allowed on to boycott Coca-Cola. This is coming from a man that used to talk about how he drinks a dozen or so Diet Coke's a day.
Speculations were made about how Coke was going to suffer tremendous losses because of this extremely dumb decision that they made internally but here is the problem with that assumption: Coke owns A lot of stuff outside of their sugar-loaded drinks. Coca Cola owns over 500 companies in 200 countries and it might be a bit difficult to boycott all of them.

- Minute Maid juices
- Dasani
- Schweppes
- Costa Coffee
They also own part of a lot of companies that are not related to beverages but obviously most of what they do is bottling and canning drinks. It might surprise you how difficult it would be to completely boycott anything they own. Also, if you eat at any of these restaurants and you want a drink, chances are you won't have any choice other than to buy a drink that is manufactured by Coca-Cola

I also think it would be stupid to boycott them since this memo was most likely designed by just a few people inside of the firm.
I started boycotting Coke many years ago but that is just because it contains about as much sugar as you should ever consume in a day. I honestly don't care what their politics are.
The news of Coca-Cola making this very stupid mistake that of course someone was going to leak had very little affect on the price of the stock and here we are months later and we are seeing the stock actually rise
The "be less white" story broke on the 24th of Feb and while it did do a bit of a dip as some people panic-sold, you can see that things are going to be just fine in Coca-Cola land.
The articles out there that talk about how their price dropped by (insert biggest drop that a reporter could find by using cherry-picked data) percent simply isn't true. This company will no doubt have a few people out there that are going to switch to Pepsi or maybe even RC but in the end, they are simply too big to suffer any sort of meaningful drop in business. If you live in a conservative community then yeah, maybe you'll see some lack of Pepsi products because a few people are boycotting the product but overall, this news about Coke seeing huge losses simply isn't true.
The media outlets out there that try to suggest they are.... are lying to you.
