Hello friends! How are you doing today?
Nigeria is one of the country who value politics and Political ambition more than the betterment of of it's citizens. A country where Students are at home since April over strike with no hope of when to go back to classroom, is the same country where a political aspirant is purchasing a nomination form for an hundred million of naira.
Even in the midst of strike in educational sector of Nigeria, the Minister of State, Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba, who supposed to look for everlasting solution is busy buying presidential nomination form of One Hundred Million. A money that even his seven years salaries is not up to. Students in higher institutions of learning especially universities are at home since April 14th 2022 over Academic Staff Union of Universities Strike due to Government inability to fund it's Education. This strike serve as a warning to Nigerian Government to wake up to it's responsibility in providing the needed requirement in it's universities Education in the country. But despite the the months warning strike by Academic Staff Union of University, the Government was still adamant over it. The sad part of it is that even in the midst of these strike, which kept thousands of Nigerian Students who couldn't afford foreign Education as the politician children, the Nigerian Politicians are still vying for their Political ambitions. The most shocking part is that, over 17 presidential aspirants buy nomination forms for #100 million each while nothing is done about the striking lecturer and the Education system.
As Nigerian Students were hopefully waiting for Government intervention but very sadly to know Nigerian Government has nothing for it's Education. This inability of government response to the make the striking universities lecturers to extend strike by another 12 weeks that's three months on 9th May 2022
The Academic Staff Union of Universities president, Emmanuel Asodeke announced the extension, though it's a good step to take in order to have a sound Educational System, it's a time wasted on the part of the students. This would be possible if Nigerian Government is responsible to issues bothering it's citizens. It is sad these Politicians, their Children are not schooling in Nigerian universities. This is the fact that the government failed to response to 2020 Federal Government Nigeria/Academic Staff Union of Universities Memorandum Of Understanding which makes the lecturers to roll over the strike to 12 weeks in order for Government to resolve the needed problems in it's educational sector.

This is only for one Political Party yet Nigerian Government cannot fund it's Educational System but pay deaf ears to the degrading state of Universities in the country.
A good analysis will tell you that even those who bought nomination forms at Hundred Million Naira, their salaries for even six years are not up to such amount then how come they have such amount to purchase a form for a position that's for only person to occur yet over 25 aspirants has bought nomination forms for the same. Meanwhile, the Minister of Labour and productivity, Chris Ngige who tells the striking universities lecturers that there's no money is among those who bought the presidential form for an hundred million naira.
