Anyone in the game of pointing fingers and blaming people would surely have a lot to do at the moment. Nothing seems to be going in the right direction. Things are falling apart and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
Just yesterday, l went to Nairaland.com to read the top gist and latest happening in Nigeria. The posts over there are often based on controversial topics about Nigeria.
I'd love how they always present the latest gists in a very comprehensive way. The only thing l didn't fancy about the place is the trash talk and other depressing comments that flood the comment section. That is where people think aloud and convert these thoughts to texts.
Comments such as;
- I'm tired of politicians - they can burn in hell with their fake promises.
- It's pointless to tune into a TV station - they are just puppets to the government.
- I'm done with patriotism - they can feed that to the dogs.
- This is no longer a country - it's just a glorified zoo.
Trust me, the above comments are among the most pleasant ones that you can see there.
Truth be told, I knew that l would be seeing a lot of rants and depressing comments but l couldn't keep myself off the comment section. Perhaps, l just wanted to have a good laugh.
The sad thing is, their rants are not far from the truth.
We are living in a crazy generation where nobody can boast of being free from bullshits. People get attacked, killed and forgotten even when they are at the comfort of their home. Some lunatic can randomly chase you for no just cause yet, we all act as if the world is still a safe haven - I still don't know if it was ever like that over here
Just so you know, l can't boast of the security of people's lives and property in my part of the world.
