Most often, when I sit down alone with my thoughts in silence, I reminisce about life, and say to myself, what is the core importance of all this? Wake up so early in the morning, hustle for daily bread, trying to keep fit, have some shake down, back on my feets, I laugh, i continue life and upon all these things, no one gets to leave this life alive not to talk of taking along things they worked for. So why bother?
The honest truth is, life is so complicated tapestry of pain and joy, confusion and clarity. It is not constantly about figuring everything out on a goal, it is all about been brave enough to ask the questions. I have learned that the essence and core importance of life is not always seen in the majestic pronouncements and lofty proclamations of destiny, but in the steadfastness and tenacity of living through each day, most importantly, the difficult days.
There is this unseen and inner scars that we all carry. Peradventure, yours might be as a result of losing someone dare to your heart to death. Maybe it can also be as a result of unfulfilled destiny, delayed dreams, unreachable goals or weight of expectations. It could be anything. Most often, we wake up everyday with zero expectations and hope in us, drained and weary shoulders, but we keep moving and hustling because we are not quitters. That is not who we are. That is not who I am.
This alone is what qualify us to be human.
I stand up from my bed every morning, not because I want to, but someone somewhere is looking up to me with a lot of believe and faith, those who see potential in me more than I see in my self, moral supports from brothers and sisters, my younger self's dreams and most importantly, my parents prayers. The aim and intention is not always fixed because it will keep evolving. It develops with constant lessons from people I meet, those who are in my life and those who go.
The daily grind is not all about surviving. It is also about moving forward and not allowing myself to be numb. It is the nerves and boldness to keep pursuing the light even though things we have recognized is shadow.
Without any doubt, there will always be an end to life, but creating a meaningful meaning before it ends, that is what matters.
And this is what brings a smile to my face every blessed morning.
