I came across a young lady who will always set her camera on a chair, put it on record and dance around and laugh all to herself with no positive impact as in regards to what she is doing.
When I got close trying to know what exactly she was doing she told me she is trying to get at least a thousand followers so her account will be verified and then she will be able to monetize her account and so she could get paid for what she is doing.
I laughed at her reason though a good reason but then I proceeded to ask what she will be doing with the money if eventually she begins to make money from her social media handle and the response also wowed me.
I will get an iPhone 14pro max to be able to give quality and better content.
I will get a car for myself.
I will get nice clothes, the clothes in question were very expensive as stated by her.
I will get wigs, bags and shoes.
All her responses amazed me as she had no plan to advance herself in person, indeed the little girl in her was what spoke to me at that point.
All she was concerned about was or is the luxury materialistic things the money will get for her, a girl that is yet to achieve even the second face of life in her educational qualification.
How dumb can competition make some of these adolescents be, this could be probably what she thought it's all about, but life has got more to offer than the little that roams around her head.
The time we spent back then in studying as Adolescents during our time has been replaced with the influence of social media in the lives of these young ones.
It was a serious business as at then the competition was not about cars but it was about getting the best result in School. We cry when our friends score more than us in exams and that is why we can boldly sit, think and write some of these things.
I once tried to introduce some young guy to hive but he clearly stated to me that he wouldn't be able to sit and begin to write “I can't stress myself to think on what to write” that was his response, this is an example of what you get as a result of inadequate study the ability to think becomes a problem.
We only got access to phones back then when we had assignments that involved international questions.
The form of immorality was very low as we never see people in other places via screen thereby it did not expose us to things like video s*x or even sending some nudes pictures just to please someone and so it helped our integrity to be kept intact. I can't even imagine what is going on now in this current generation with the young ones.
Go on social media and discover countless pictures of young ones exposing their nudes in the name of social media, simply because they want to get paid.
It has really done more harm than good to the lives of these young ones.
Let's not talk of the unquenchable taste for knowing things that could destroy them, joining a dark community and all that is another thing we will not even want to talk about.
