In our life there are a lot of resources that we required and are very much importance for a lot of other things that we have to be doing as well but among all of those resources one of the most important ones is going to be time itself because it is an asset which is limited for everyone and once it is spend it is never going to be coming back and even though we know all of these facts we still don't a value it but it's importance is something that never gets degraded.
There can be a lot of people who might say that there are a lot of even more important resources and some may say it to be money itself but it is something that is not even comparable to time because there are a lot of other factors which makes time something incomparable to anything else as it is the driving force for every single activity that we undertake every single day and it is something that is equally distributed among every single person as everyone gets 24 hours for every single day and the things that they do in those 24 hours is what makes the difference.
Now there are two kind of people who always look to squeeze every single second that they can and implemented in the things that they want to do and on the other hand there are a lot of people who just trying to delay everything and procrastinate about their work and if you ask me then I will be lying in between these two categories somewhere as I can say myself to be a recovering procrastinator.
I have been involved in a lot of things which actually sucked out my productive time and even though I knew that I was wasting time I didn't care much about it as I was too much addicted to them such as scrolling endlessly through social media as well as also in the name of a small break I went on to do things which were meaningless and did end up taking a lot of my time which I could have use in a much more productive way.
There was a period in my life when I used to be dealing almost every single thing let it be even the assignments that I had to submit or even the closest deadlines that I had to maintain even the responsibilities that I had I try to delay then even till the last second and that has become an habit which was predominantly a very big character of mine as well and that reflected in almost everything will action that I took but slowly as I started to understand the implications of my own doing it striked me quite a lot and I was very much in regret after that particular point.
It was a very hard realisation for me as I started to understand the fact that the things that I was doing in the name of getting away from the discomfort of my work and trying to have an escape from my stress and anxiety was not even doing anything to do what I intended it to but rather it was killing my productivity as well as also visiting my own time which is never going to be coming back and even in a long shot also making me loose a lot of opportunities that I could have made a lot of things out of.
Recently I started to change my things and all of those changes but not so in tense because and habit which was already so much dominant over such a long period can't be changed overnight but gradually I did a lot of changes as I avoided checking my phone every single second whenever I got a bit of free time and a lot of these kind of small habits that I did try to change in myself and the results were pretty amazing and now I am very much better than what are used to be a couple of month ago in terms of utilising time.
One of the things that help me quite a lot was to prepare a schedule for every single day and try to follow it and make sure that everything that I wanted to do gets completed every single day but that is something which is quite a tricky aspect because most of the days it is something that goes through very smoothly but our life is pretty unpredictable and their can be a lot of things that pop out of nowhere are a lot of things that I have to be taking care of which includes my studies and Academy as well as the things that are related to my career and even the social bonds and relationship aspect is also something that requires a lot of time.
There is no fixed schedule that I can be following because there can be different tasks every single day some days there can be a lot of things that can file up on each other and some days can be also very light but I might not be emotionally very much available to do all of the things which can definitely impact all of the Other aspects as well and ultimately all of this impact the performance of mine at that point of time and their food some days even 24 hours might same to be quite less to do the things that I need to be doing as well as their can be days where it can be enough as well.
Now that some of the opportunity is when I get when I have done all of the things that I need it to be doing as per my schedule and there is still time left to go one of the things that I love to do the most is to be listen to music as well and even watching some movies because I am a very big cinephile as well and I love watching movies and apart from all of this I also be going out and just spending time with friends as these activities make me feel very good and this are on the top of the list of the leisure activities that I involve myself in.
As I have now transitioned quite a lot from being a problem procrastinator to somewhat of a less procrastinator I know understand one of the things that is one of the biggest sources where we can be wasting our time and I was involved in it way too much back in the day which was mindless scrolling social media and been online and doing all of those things which had no value to us but keep us addicted to them and that is something which I have work very hard to get away from and I feel very proud about it as well but surely that is one of the things that people waste a lot of the time today as well.
All in all I am not the best person who is utilising their time in the best possible manner but I am Getting there slowly and yes I am still somewhat of a procrastinator as of now as well but surely things have changed quite a lot in comparison to what it is used to be in the past and that is something that I definitely feel quite good about and always try to get myself involved in the things that give me peace and also keep me in the best of my Shape as well in terms of my productivity and that has been one of the gamechanger for me.
