My identity. Greetings, everyone. Thank you for dropping by my blog today, with joy 😊 in my heart 💜. I will be sharing with you about my unique culture mada.
First of all, what is culture? Culture refers to the shared beliefs, values, practices, and material objects that constitute a way of life for a group of people. I'm Mada and proud to be one. Let me tell you a bit about us. The Mada people are an ethnic group primarily located in the north central part of Nigeria, Nasarawa state, Akwanga local government to be precise.
Mada dance is a very unique and a bit difficult for someone who isn't Mada. And our music is not just a song but most times a message.
Talking about our food hmm one the best I know.
Mada people are peace makers 🕊️ Back in the days when I was a child, every Sunday a masquerade could come out in my community.
The reason for his coming out was to inform the young boy and girl to be responsible, and any girl who took in out-of-wedlock could be given to the masquerade to be beaten. Our attire is also one of the best-looking in the state. What I love about Mada people is that they are united;
we do have our festival once a year, were we invite the mada sons and daughters in the diaspora to come and celebrate 🥂 their culture, and it's also like a way of remaining them of where they came from.
in fact,their slogan is Mada sei gyir, which means Mada is one. This is but a little that I can say about my people, Mada. Thank you for reading through.
This are not really my pictures, I got them from Facebook. But this are mada people. My culture and identity.
