Welcome to this weeks update about IBT Survival Island. A PC based game to be built with blockchain interactions.
Our next playable demo (test) is about to be released - stay tuned a date will be announced.
This week has been about testing all the new items added so far. Some bugs were found (especially collision issues) but the demo is still playable. As usual we will work around these problems but will release the new demo very soon "as is" so we can have a full proper test.
So far we have managed to develop meshes with multiple "child actors". These actors can be fruit on a tree or sticks on a particular tree or shrub that can be picked separately to the mesh. In the gif provided you will see the character can pick fruit, then pull up or destroy the tree and then have that added to the resources tab below/middle which can be used later as "10" firewood.
The same with the Balga Grass Tree (Xanthorrhoea) You can remove the top without destroying the tree itself.
The last frames of the gif is "throwing the stuff away" or "dropping it" test. Which worked 100% successfully. Each item dropped matched the item selected.
With the upcoming demo we have a small assortment of furniture that can be added to your home. With this upcoming demo, once the furniture is crafted it cannot be destroyed but in the next demo this option will be available.
Overall the next upcoming demo is a test for crafting, saving and accessing the inventory.
That's it for this week.
