For my current, I wanted to share my version of "The Art of Silence" as interpreted by my mixed media art project. Turmoil exists whether you encounter it in your life during your lifetime. No matter the noise in the world, you can always tune it out.
During stressful situations, is it better to lash out of remain calm, keeping your thoughts and emotions inward?
I remember as a young adult with a fierce temper. I'd lash out, slam doors, and issue verbal and non-verbal expressions to get my point across that would cut like a blade.
But what did I truly accomplish?
Nothing. Except a personality label to this day I've not been able to shed. Although some do recognize a calmness in me while whispering, "don't get her riled up!"
I can joke about it now having come through the other side into a state of consciousness I call "The Art of Silence".
I approached my project with the idea of displaying an inner conflict while attempting to maintain an outer composure. This balancing act certainly is not an easy task. The images I collected to portray this inner turmoil represents the internal and external state of mind. Including abstract art is always a good choice if the image doesn't suppress the main idea. My goal was to explore turmoil coming from different sources.
The burning red planet I used on the inside of the head signifies the internal turmoil no one can see. The outside appears calm.
One interesting piece is a generative art image I created in Nvidia Gaugan. The bush looks as if it's burning through from the intense pressure of the atmosphere.
Adding two of my pure fractals gave light to the otherwise dark.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I begin with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, repositioning, colorizing, and filtering items as needed in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

Added the Egyptian book cover female surreal portrait.

Changed canvas background to black; then resized the female image to fill the screen from top to bottom.

Added a cone fractal to female image to highlight.

Added various abstract backgrounds. Resized and positioned them around the female face.

Added the red planet. Inserted into frame to fit inside the female's headdress.

Added the weird animal. duplicated it, then added a swirl fractal to its head and colorized each.

Added the geometrical shape to the woman's face. Positioned it. This completed the project.
I share with you my completed project:
