I believe that with Trump continuing to impose tariffs without real justification or clear limits, the global economy must start adapting to this reality. People also need to understand that this is not a temporary situation and it’s likely to continue throughout his presidential term. So, we must prepare ourselves and move with it.
But first, we need to realize that just because Trump is targeting the European Union, it doesn’t mean the rest of us are safe. The global economy today is highly interconnected. This will affect everyone even someone living in South Africa or Brazil. The world is now so tied together that it’s almost impossible for any product to be made 100% in a single country. For example, raw materials, labor, or even very basic components like small metals usually need to be imported from other countries.
That’s why we need to start creating urgent and alternative plans to deal with these fast and sudden economic decisions. These actions often come without any warning or grace period. As I’ve said before, the global economy has become fragile. I wouldn’t even call it flexible anymore because if stock markets can crash overnight due to a single decision, that’s not flexibility. In the past, economic changes took months or even years to happen, but now things are completely different.
And this doesn’t only apply to Trump’s economic policies. For me, it applies to any global event whether it’s wars, political tensions, or natural disasters. Just like what happened between Pakistan and India or even events like earthquakes and tsunamis these all have a direct impact on the economy. So at this point, having backup plans is no longer a luxury, it’s a necessity.
I still believe that the decision should be from the people as for economists, I do not believe them anymore as it is clear that they are whales or leak info to whales to manipulate the economy and just for their benefit.
