I finally have the truck running right and it is ready to go. It took me a while to get it done because of other things that I had to get done first. I have got my insurance and I will be going and get the tags for it in the morning!
The work truck we have needed some repairs done to it and that is what we are using to haul cars with. We are also using it for moving stuff around and we are trying to get some mobile homes moved. It is used to haul axles and other things we need to get it ready to move. We have had a few great things happen for us in the last couple of months. We meet a guy that was trying to sell a piece of property and it had two mobile homes on it that needed to be repaired and he did not want to do it. They are about a mile from our property and he told us if we would move them we could have them. So we got the bigger one moved a few days ago. it was a 14x 55 and we got a friend with a big tractor to move it for us. The other one is a smaller one, it is a 12x40 and we have to get the axles under it and it will be ready to move. They both need some work but it can be done as it is just really cosmetics on the inside, new windows and doors.
We have a friend that his sister has a 24x55 doublewide that she used when they were building their house. Their house is built and they gave it to us, so we have to split and move it also. We will have to get someone to do that as it is about 20 miles or so away. It has a big front porch we have to move with it too. It will need some minor things done to it also.
Some of you have wondered why I put off going on the road and that is why, plus wintertime is coming and I want to hopefully not be in just the truck. I need to help get these things done and it will be nice to be in something besides a pallet cabin and a motorhome for the kids to be in. The grandkids and my wife are in the office mobile home we fixed up. We wanted to build but the cost has skyrocketed as of late and it was just too expensive to do so. Fixing these mobile homes up will have a cost also but not nearly as much as building new construction. We will evaluate at a later date and will be able to build houses at a later date. Using the money we have to get them all moved and get them fixed up.
Yes, there is a couple of small things I need to do to the truck, like the dent in the side you can see there. It will just take a rubber mallet to pop that dent out. I want to sand the top of the truck some and paint it so it will get rid of the surface rust. Just little things that will not take much to do. I will also use this time to hopefully find a small camper I can pull and use on my travels. Been thinking I could power-down and use what I have in Hive to help with this but it does not seem like a good idea at this point. I do not think it would make any difference really, as it is a small amount and it is better used where it is, I believe. When it is meant to be it will happen. Being patient is key here, as a camper may come along and be able to get it cheap also. Might need some work but it is all good!
I might make some day trips around my area and make some posts and videos about them. There are a few places that are close enough for me to do that. This has been a good thing for me, as it does me good to learn more about being patient and helps me manage stress better. Wonderful things are happening right now for all of us and I want to be a part of it and see our little piece of heaven grow. That is all for now, I will keep you updated as we continue to move forward. I hope each and everyone has a great night/day, whatever it is in your neck of the woods. ALWAYS FORWARD!
