I am getting in the fall and cozy end of the year feeling and I just saw these beautiful leaves and instead of a vase with flowers I decided to make a different center piece this time.
I brought home some leaves I found in the neighbourhood while walking the dogs. The trees are losing leaves fast now and it hasn’t rained so that’s great to take them home dry.
When I was little my mum crafted with leaves we dried in books and painted them and made some children’s art for aunts and grandparents. I laughed while I was collecting them also remembering the fact we would walk and play with the big piles in front of our house. Trowing them in the air and having fun for hours and hours.
To make the center piece you take a board that can turn or an under plate to make it stand somewhat higher from the table.
You take a wide vase and fill it with bird sand or salt. Just a little bit to have the candles somewhat more steady on the bottom.
Pile the leaves against the glass of the vase and put three candles in the middle.
And at night this will give a beautiful glow and shadow effect ( I hope ) so I can enter the shadow hunters contest aswell.
Very cheap, easy to do and quick, so go do some diy yourself. Have leaf fun!
