Well, Hivers the UK is back in lockdown again with this new more contagious variant of Covid. According to our glorious leader Boris, (Yes that was sarcasm), it will be till mid-February.
On a positive note, it is easier than the quarantine I had to do when I arrived back at the start of December. I can go out and shop and I'm allowed out of the house for exercise so not all bad.
The shopping isn't too bad either as long as your not trying to fight for the last jumbo pack of toilet roll in the shop, yes they were at it again. My trip to Sainsbury's this morning was quite uneventful, not really busy, and as yet no empty shelves.
It also means I have run out of excuses to finish some jobs around the house and garden. Such as finishing off clearing the leaves away from the back path.
and trimming back the hedges but only till the bin is full then it's time for a cup of tea.
One thing about winter gardening is there is never a Robin far away as soon as you shift some leaves or pull out some weeds, the cheeky chaps like this pair are in to pick up a free lunch all the time.
As long as you don't make any sudden moves they will come quite close if it looks as if there are a few grubs up for grabs.
All for now Hivers did I mention tea :)
