Accidents can occur at any time but mostly tbisovcurs due to negligence of some certain precautionary measures. The results from injuries sustained from certain accidents can be an unpleasant sight that could leave scars for a long time.
For the purpose of this artivle, we'll be looking at the accident that happens in our domestic homes, in the kitchen.

Kitchen accidents are hazards that happen in the kitchen either when cooking or when going to get something from the kitchen... Today I will be letting us see some basic hazards in the kitchen and how to prevent them....

This can happen while washing the dishes, chopping veggies or carelessly placed absent mindedly. To avoid this it is necessary to;
• Re-arrange your kitchen utensils into its place, prevent the children from going into the kitchen unsupervised.

• Avoid copying the professional chef you watch on TV. Chopping takes a long time to master besides there's no special award for the most creatively chopped veggies neither does your food taste better when chopped faster.
• Make sure to remove the sharp Utensils when doing the dishes first. Wash them and place them tightly before engaging the rest of the dishes.
Slipping:
• Keep the kitchen floor tidied of all slippery objects to avoid a fall that could cause dangerous injuries.
• Keep the floor dry of water to avoid children and adult from falling that also resulting into breaking a bone, or taking a hit that might damage the brain.
• Always wear saftey shoes. Like a plague, Avoid anything fancy like heels.
Burns
• Always keep a kitchen glove close to you while cooking to avoid burning your hands. This is to be used intermidently to lift hot objects to and fro the heat.
• Make sure the pot handle is set properly on the sides and not facing you to avoid the fire from making it too hot to handle.
• Wearing loose fitting clothes is another way accident can occur in the kitchen, that loose fitted cloth can hook a pot on the fire making the spill over resulting in a serious burns.
• A fire extinguisher must always be around the kitchen work area.
Electric shock:
Keep all appliances in a safe place, all exposed wires should be covered properly with tapes or better still changed.
• Change all faulty appliances, this is another dangerous hazard in the kitchen, which could lead to electric shock resulting to death or serious injury.
Hot water spillage
• When lifting pots or kettles with hot water, it is advisable to do this with care to avoid the water to spill out of the the container and onto your body.
• Make sure you have a kitchen glove or a napkin in hand to lift a kettle or a pot of boiling water. This way the heat from the container can be managed and not cause dropping due to reflex actions.
Hot oil spillage
• When frying using hot oil cover a bit to avoid it from spilling out, and always allow hot oil cool door before lifting it.
Dangling jewelries
• This is another way to incure hazards in the kitchen. Your jewelry can hook on to something, a pot or maybe wire resulting into a very serious accident causing injury.
All Accidents can be prevented when necessary precautions are taken..
N:B.Avoid Cooking while tired: going into the kitchen work area after a hard day at the office can lead into sleeping in the kitchen, thereby causing your food to get burnt and you waking up to the smell rushing to the pot and getting your hands burnt.
