Change can be scary. It can be burdensome. In some cases, it is necessary -- for growth, for moving forward and not looking back, for survival.
Charles Darwin was said to have quoted...
It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.
Too many changes are happening all at once. It could be quite overwhelming. I am coping, but a part of me is deeply overwhelmed. When that happens, I mostly unplug from everything around me. That works well for me, as I get to process my thoughts and feelings. It's what I would call my coping mechanism. So, please bear with me if I'm not chatty at all. I just have lots of stuff on my mind.
Lockdown (enhanced community quarantine) is now on its second week. Confirmed cases of covid-19 in our country continue to rise. The last time I checked earlier it is now at 552, 35 deaths (four doctors included in the list). Honestly, the way I look at it, it would probably not be over in a month. But, I do believe in miracles. Who's to say it can't happen, huh? I'm praying the loss of income won't last long. A lot of folks here are relying on weekly/monthly wages and salaries. No work, no pay. Ouchie!!! The best I could do now is to stay healthy and to pray that all will be well soon.
Starting Over

Yesterday, I ran SteemPruner on my Steem account. I actually found it being plugged on twitter, so I checked it out. If you visit the site, it will explain that it's a tool that will replace all the contents of your Steem posts with a Hive link.
I have been on the Steem blockchain for a little over seven months, so my posts are not a lot. I certainly wouldn't mind them being moved to Hive. I make a stand that I do not condone censorship, esp. on a blockchain. That sealed the fate on my decision to move.
I have to be honest, though. It's going to be back to square one, just like when I was starting out. This time around, I have accumulated enough HP to be able to appreciate my own work. I don't mind. It is my blog, so I'm simply happy to share what I want. I've been blogging/sharing on social media for a number of years anyway, and I don't earn a cent there. Besides, I do enjoy the process.
I'm just sad that two of my other favorite dApps -- DTube and APPICs -- won't be moving to Hive, at least not at this point. I hope someone develops dApps like these on Hive. Perhaps I would still use them once in a while. I could always prune my posts later. LOL! _
Changes
I still plan to show up daily and create quality content. I do enjoy the process. I will focus more on my personal goals too.

I will set aside more time for my affiliate marketing program, CTP. It's the main reason why I'm on the blockchain. The current situation on the covid-19 lockdown made me rethink my priorities. Deep inside, I would really like more time for freelance stuff. One day at a time... one step at a time... let's see where this will all lead.
Be safe everyone!
