Hemos hablado mucho durante estos últimos días de Febrero y las fechas especiales que trae consigo, algunas celebraciones nacionales y otras más compartidas por todo el mundo.
We have talked a lot during these last days about February and the special dates it brings with it, some national celebrations and others shared by everyone.
Sin duda alguna la celebración que más cobra fuerza es la del Día de San Valentín o Día del amor y la amistad, pienso que tal vez se debe a los momentos extraños que vivimos y en los cuales toda manifestación de cariño cobra gran relevancia.

Al leer o escuchar estas palabras estoy seguro que a cada uno se le vendrá a la mente una imagen o idea distinta sobre lo que podría representar esa fuerza; desde la fuerza de la gravedad, pasando por la fuerza humana hasta las fuerzas de naturaleza o tal vez el poderío tecnológico y militar de los humanos, quizás la fuerza bruta de los luchadores de artes marciales, en fin, podríamos pensar muchas cosas pero en este caso no me refiero a ninguna de ellas.
When reading or listening to these words I am sure that each one of you will think of a different image or idea about what that force could represent; from the force of gravity, through human strength to the forces of nature or perhaps the technological and military might of humans, perhaps the brute force of martial arts fighters, in short, we could think of many things but in this case I am not referring to any of them.
Quizás sonará excesivamente romántico o cursi (cosa que no me preocupa) pero a la fuerza que yo me refiero es al amor, sí, el amor, ese sentimiento cuyo origen en el cuerpo humano desconocemos y que es capaz de desatar fuerzas y cuestiones de distintas magnitudes capaces de ocasionar cosas infinitamente positivas y beneficiosas, pero al mismo tiempo puede desatar pasiones sorprendentemente destructivas y hasta mordaces.

El amor genera en las personas emociones y actitudes que solo buscan poder retransmitir o volver recíproco ese mismo sentimiento, como un ciclo interminable de hechos, vibras y energías claramente positivas; el amor es igualmente capaz de generar lo contrario, lo que se conoce como su contraparte, y que visto de otra forma podría ser su alter ego. Por siglos estas fuerzas han estado moldeando nuestros caminos como especie, siendo responsables de los mayores y más destacados hechos de nuestra historia. Cuando el sentimiento de amor o sus afines abundan, o mejor dicho, abundaron entre la sociedad esta se vio envuelta por un ola de avances y hechos destacables que mejoraban la vida y las relaciones humanas, lo mismo pasaba con el odio pero en dirección contraria, al ser recurrente en cualquier etapa de la vida humana este desataba hechos asombrosos e incluso inigualables que marcaron hitos oscuros en nuestra historia.
Love generates in people emotions and attitudes that only seek to be able to retransmit or reciprocate that same feeling, like an endless cycle of facts, vibes and clearly positive energies; love is equally capable of generating the opposite, what is known as its counterpart, and that seen in another way could be its alter ego. I am talking about hate, that most powerful and devastating emotion that is found among us at the expense of other feelings,
For centuries these forces have been shaping our paths as a species, being responsible for the greatest and most outstanding events in our history. When the feeling of love or its affinities abound, or better said, abounded among society this was enveloped by a wave of advances and remarkable facts that improved life and human relations, the same thing happened with hate but in the opposite direction, being recurrent at any stage of human life this unleashed amazing and even unparalleled facts that marked dark milestones in our history.
La paz, la tolerancia, el respeto, la bondad y la nobleza son valores que nos han permitido mejorar y hacer de ellos herramientas para mejorar la vida de todos, también es cierto que la envidia, el rencor, la incomprensión y el miedo nos han llevado a cometer actos atroces e irrazonables que solo dejaron miseria, tangible e intangible, en las vidas de cada uno.
Peace, tolerance, respect, kindness and nobility are values that have allowed us to improve and make them tools to improve the lives of all, it is also true that envy, resentment, misunderstanding and fear have led us to commit atrocious and unreasonable acts that only left misery, tangible and intangible, in the lives of each one.
Es así como nos podemos dar cuenta que el amor, y su contraparte son la fuerza no natural más influyente de nuestra historia, y seguramente lo seguirán siendo pues estamos forjados por ellos. En cada casa, calle, ciudad y por supuesto, en cada persona conviven irremediablemente juntos e irónicamente opuestos entre sí, el amor y su carácter bondadoso junto con el odio y todo lo que hay tras él.
This is how we can realize that love and its counterpart are the most influential unnatural force in our history, and will surely continue to be so because we are forged by them. In every house, street, city and of course, in every person, love and its kind character coexist irremediably together and ironically opposed to each other, together with hate and all that lies behind it.
No sé si se trate de una dualidad como el ying y el yang, sinceramente lo desconozco, lo que sí puedo decirles es que siempre depende de cada uno de nosotros elegir a través de cual podemos vivir.
I do not know if it is a duality like yin and yang, I honestly do not know, what I can tell you is that it is always up to each of us to choose which one we can live through.
