Dear fellow sentient beings!
Today I'm writing to all of you in an impulsive response to...You'll-see-who...that came to me as I browsed a photo folder of mine right after reading the post of You'll-see-who. And this photograph hit me with its clarity of answer.
I Said: Rock, What's The Matter With You, Rock?
— Nina Simone - Sinnerman
My favorite line from that song. Lots of answers within. It cannot be explained, it must be felt.
And my post is not a direct answer to what I read. It's a reference.
Both to a great classic song and to the Letter To God by my fellow Power House Creatives member @hlezama.
Well, a boy may not be the perfect choice of an actor for the Sinnerman's role, and making him unrecognizable (not easy being a candid style photographer these days...don't get me started...) took some playing with filters...
But he definitely looks as if he has some issues with that rock. As if shouting at it.
At least he doesn't have to run far in order to get to the sea and ask it the same questions...
I know we all have issues with the rock.
How far do we have to run to get our answers? The answer to that is usually "as far as you have to", it's simple, it's true, and it rarely satisfies. Unless we find the answers within.
In my reply to @hlezama's Letter, I roughly translated a saying we have around here which basically tells us to rely on no one. We have also mostly forgotten it. I am not going to go there right now. I do not intend to explain local problems. Cause they're never local and never simple even if they are.
Lots and lots of folklore wisdom — neglected in the unwise hurried modern consumer's life. If you think it has nothing to do with what happens on the other side of the world...Think again.
Art has a way of saying a lot in a single image, in a couple of words, or in a line of a song. What's cool about it is that it resonates with whomever the listener, viewer, or reader might be. In a personal way. And, as I have quoted before in some of my previous letters to you,
What is most personal is most universal.
— Carl R. Rogers
Even Universal problems call for personal responsibility and action. I know some of you act. I am hereby appealing to those who would rather rely on others. Don't! At least don't wait but look for solutions yourselves and act upon them. Then, collective wisdom shall prevail. It does, anyway. But most of those who wait are left behind.
When behind, Dark Shrine!

That one was to cheer you up...
...and tell you to do what you can no matter what the odds. If you're here, you're already doing something. Keep on! Never give up!
Not giving up makes the difference between those who succeed and...well, those who give up, duh!
Go ask a rock if you don't trust me on this!
Sincerely Yours,
Manol
P.S. This was also my entry for the Dear Something-Something... Hive Creative Contest by @zord189.
Who also made this signature below ;)
P.P.S. Something-Something is also the name of an awesome character from an awesome piece of modern theatre art. It's called "Tripod vs. the Dragon".
