Greetings, fellow sentient beings!
I am casting my Zap into the broil of the ZapFic challenge by @felt.buzz here.
The prompt this weeks is Morning.
It's a form of super short fiction where you have to get all your story within 240 characters.
Oh, now I wonder how much longer would I be able to make mine if I knew Chinese or Japanese symbols...
I don't, so...
Waking up one day to find all calm, pain gone, threats nowhere to be found, Johnny felt disappointed.
For all the meticulous preparations, the plan had not worked. Perhaps the wing straps or a sail went loose.
It was not his problem, anymore.
Is there a Darwin Award at stake there? I don't know, don't be too fast to pass judgement.
Those who brave the unknown are also those we owe progress to. Some are less lucky than others. Some are less adequate. Some might be quite wrong but their deeds can lead to something right, intentionally or not. Now I realize the story above might be quite in the style of Terry Pratchett's Disc World stories. And, by the way, one can find much sense in his comical books. In comedy we can say things most serious. And things most serious can turn into comedy on their own, quite easily.
If you have no plan that requires otherwise, why not laugh your way through life?
Did I write all these words after such a story? Quite not in place, shame on me.
Thank you for reading, though ;)
Yours,
Manol
