Greetings, pumpkins!
There's one thing about concentration, attention spam, or whatever that I can afford to admit and it's that I am rarely able to remember all the things that I could do at the same time. Meaning, I forget to listen to music when I am writing even though it is a great addition to the background mood and no distraction in any bad way for me. I just forget about the option every now and then.
It was at the third traffic lights stop yesterday that I noticed the radio in the car was turned down to inaudibility.
later on, that same radio reminded me of some old favorites that were just in tune with the time of the year.
Yeah, Helloween, what else. Good Old German Power Metal. Like Blind Guardian but they are more on the fantasy/fiction side of things while...Helloween are more on the...mainstream...fantasy/fiction side of things. Lol to that.
Today was inspired by yesterday's chance meeting with that Song That Wasn't Right, so I started the morning with a long favorite. No, seriously, it's long.
I was not patient enough to listen to other 13-14-minute long sequels so then I changed stuff manually. A more modern (like almost 2002) Helloween song I still think great came up next.
What other Helloween pieces come to mind?
Popular stuff of the cheery type — a lot. But more obscure stuff from the albums that I personally enjoy a lot:
Sole Survivor
The Departed
Mr.Torture (the heir to Dr. Stein, perhaps?)
...
More related music one can find in Avantasia, The Metal Opera which is a project with lots of Helloween current and former musicians taking part.
I am not quite in line with the last albums except for...
The Scarecrow which is my favorite new piece.
...but previous pieces I like a lot are
Avantasia
Seven Angels
Farewell
...the whole albums have nice atmosphere to them and are somehow connected since they tell a continuous story. But they are too much for me to focus on right now.
And those I shared above are already long enough. Longer than usual music tracks.
Which reminds me that I shall not be stubbornly consistent and go for some Iron Maiden next.
Because They're awesome. Don't watch at the ugly pictures on the covers. Tab out and just focus on music, that's what I would do...am doing...
Here's something in between instead, shot by me and post-edited...heavily.
Cheers!
