As I travel along the road to becoming a content creator quite a few roadblocks and side paths appear. Whatever this journey may be, it's definitely not a straight forward one. At first I spent a decent amount of time thinking about what to write, OVERthinking would be a better description.😅
And then one moment... one of the lasts times I travelled came to mind, and I just wrote that down, whatever came to mind, not one thought was "over".
The past week I concluded there are a few key things you need to keep in mind when creating ideas:
Be passionate about what you write ✔️
If you're passionate about something, once you start putting it on paper you can't stop, even if you have some anti-social tendencies like me 🙃
Be yourself
Don't try to create a persona that's different from who you are in real life. If people like the way you present yourself in real life, the same should apply for your words. Own who you are. What if they don't like you? Well... then... you can always try Splinterlands 🤷♂
Ask yourself if anyone would appreciate the topic
You should have a target audience. This promotes engagement, which is the whole point. I mean.. and this is completely hypothetical.... if I were to be passionate about killing puppies, I don't think many people or communities would appreciate any sort of article related to it whatsoever. And if they do, you should probably avoid them.
Keep writing!
Just as important, as stated by @wwwiebe, is to keep writing! Don't focus on how much a post makes, focus on engagement and getting better at a skill. Pretty much in anything you want to get better at, consistency will always be a deciding factor.
That was another step on the road. Thank you for reading! 🤘
