Hello to every member of the #homesteading, I’m very much glad to make another post again through the community. Today, I’ll be talking about how one can comfortably make his/her catfish from the scratch without needing a professional to help you do that.
You also must understand that fish is among the food that is mostly consumed by the general public in homes, hotels, restaurants, events, and many other important aspects of life. This is why I always try to teach people how they can comfortably make a huge amount of money through catfish incubation and hatching as the demand from fish farmers is on the high side because of the high consumption rate within human surroundings.
Before proceeding with the ways to incubate and hatch your fish, I will like to share with you that you don’t need to panic about how much you can start within incubating and hatching of catfish business but at least you just have to make up your mind to give it a try. People are also afraid of losses trying to venture into such business but I’ll boldly tell you that in every business, there’s a risk attached to it but in the case of catfish incubation and hatching business.
The risk is not always much because the only challenge you may have Is in the process of gathering all your equipment but once you have secured the environment and the tools to be used for the catfish incubation business, you may not need to worry about any other lost again in the business because you may not spend up $25 to get yourself a male and female catfish to be used for your incubation business which may turn later to give you a profit of about $300 and above within a space of one month if you were lucky to have much egg hatched than the white tissue from the female egg fish.
I’ll only be talking about catfish incubation for today then within the week, I’ll talk about the hatching aspect of it so that we’ll only take the lesson step-by-step.
What is catfish incubation?
Catfish incubation simply means the process of making a catfish through the combination of a female egg and that of a male milt catfish which will later turn into a real fish within the space of 24hrs. Though sometimes, the incubation of the catfish may vary for just hours depending on the nature of the egg and the drugs that were administered to push out the egg from the female catfish.
Catfish incubation experience:
Information that I’m sharing in this community about catfish incubation, is all about my personal experience which I have gathered in engaging through the business.
You will have to make sure that there’s adequate water supply if you are using a local incubation method just like I’m using here.
You’ll have to make sure that the rubbers to be used for the incubation are filled with clean water passing through pipe connections that will be running for 24hrs.
Make sure you soak a thick net inside the rubbers because that will be holding the eggs during incubation.
After the whole tools to be used for the catfish incubation are provided, you’re now free to bring in the female and male catfish to the incubation house.
Inject the female catfish with Ovulin drugs to help push out the eggs.
You must monitor the female catfish to determine when the eggs will start pushing out.
Once the eggs start coming out from the female catfish, assist and push out the eggs, and then pour them inside the thick net you provided.
After you must have placed the female egg, tear the male catfish and bring out the milt.
Once you bring out the male catfish milt, you’re expected to tear out the sack covering the milt.
Pour the male catfish milt on top of the female eggs.
Place the net carrying the eggs inside the rubber running with clean water and allow for 24hrs.
