Yesterday morning I was out the door bright and early headed to town to pickup grain. It was a pretty quick trip since I had to just drop one empty at one brewery then pickup 2 barrels at the other and drop the empties. It was raining a bit as I was out and the roads were really empty of people.
Most any city seems nice when there are no people about. Has a nice mellow feel about it while everyone is still asleep.
It was 9am by the time I got out to empty the barrels. The sheep were rather anxious for me to move the truck so they could go munch away on the grain. It took the birds a while to find their way in during the day but they eventually made it and were happily pecking away at the grain much of the afternoon.
The rains weren't really a lot, it more drizzled and only gave us a few hundredths in the gauge. It was nice and warm though in the low 40s F.
I made a nice move with my Hive. When Hive dumped in value I converted a few hundred HBD and got a nice chunk of Hive at .33 or so. Yesterday I converted back to HBD and made myself a nice little bit at .60.
As I sat at my computer I saw a squirrel jump up onto the railing beneath the bird feeders and I went to chase it away. I stepped off the deck and looked down on the ground to find this squirrel lying dead on the ground with no major marks like the cat got it or something. It got hucked over the edge of the hill and I didn't see the live squirrel the rest of the day.
Mid afternoon I kept piling branches on the burn pile in the garden so I could get it burning.
I hauled most of the remaining branches over and got them in the pile so I could get the pile burning closer to dark.
I spent time during the day browsing AirBnb and found the room I am renting for my time in Bozeman. I have it reserved now and it's nice as he has no cleaning fee and I get a discount on the week stay. It now getting real with class scheduled and a room booked. Since I am going to be there during spring break I really wanted to make sure I have my room lined up before they are all gone.
While watching Battlebots they announced that there is now a nightly show in Vegas and we managed to shift our itinerary around to allow us to see it. We are all super excited to get to see it in person. The arena is on the grounds of the Horseshoe Hotel which is where we have a room for the night. We will also hopefully get to see the Bodies exhibit with the boys which @stryeyz and I saw nearly 20 years ago.

It was 4pm when I lit the bonfire. I had saved a nice big pile of cardboard in the yard under cover and it was time to pull it all out to add to the pile. I used a good amount in the pile to get it going quickly. The orange flames were largely the wood burning.
The bright white flames were from the mounds of cardboard that got tossed atop the flaming pile. This is all to give me a nice pile of ashes in the garden to then spread around and add nutrients back to the soil.
We stayed with the fire until it was time for dinner and we let it burn itself down for the night.
@stryeyz had found crab at the store for $6/lb which was half off. They only got 150 pounds in and didn't have any advertisements, she just happened to be there at the right time. After dissecting the crab I was able to eat pretty easily, thankfully.
I slept for absolute garbage last night and I woke up this morning before 5am to my face in massive pain. I paced slow laps around the house as I held my face waiting for the medication to kick in. It took nearly an hour for it to calm down enough and I am so tired right now and ready for my healing to be done.
New Dirty Jobs season 10 is out and I just downloaded all the episodes to current.
