Yesterday morning I woke up in the middle of the night and looked out to see the deck was wet from rain. I got up for the day a few hours later around 5am and there was snow. It had only turned when I got up so I got to see it falling in wet heavy flakes.
The colder backside of the storm coming through had only a couple hours of snow in it before it moved on away.
The semi-finals for the PDC was on super early so I only caught the second where Cross beat Bunting to get to the final against Luke Humphries.
It all amounted to half an inch but with the rain we got .25" of moisture. It took much of the morning to burn the fog all off but we ended up getting some sun later in the day.
The PDC final went about as I thought it would, Luke won rather easily with some insane 3 dart scoring.
Not long after the Seahawks started playing and they are on par with the Kraken, they have the honor of having the most blown leads in the NFL just as the Kraken have the most in the NHL. What is it with Seattle teams? It's almost like they are in on the betting lines to screw with people... Or they just suck, or all of the above... Nonetheless they lost.
Since we have 3 Amazon warehouses around the region they delivered my lights on a Sunday. I got them plugged in to test and was rather unsure they would actually be bright enough for the board. I found I needed to have the lights mounted a ways out to properly light the board and to do so I used one of the sides from the boys' red wagon.
I then used a moulding trim piece to attach the lights to so one faces back at the board and the other down the face. They are LED strips so the light is spread out nicely across the face of the board.
I mounted the setup to the underside of the cat walk and ran the power cord beneath it so it is easily turned on and off. This is how it look now and the lighting is absolutely perfect.
I was getting shadows before but there are none now. The entire board is lit evenly and now I just need to build the surround for it and the tray to catch wayward darts.
Really happy with the light setup.
I managed to get some writing done in the afternoon but not enough as I am getting closer to falling behind.
J again fumbled with the fire and I had to go restack it properly which ended up making it really late before food was ready.
The burgers finally went on after I got proper coals built up. Baked potatoes and salad went with.
An hour soak before heading in. It's cold going out but just a bit chilly after the heat of the tub.
Today is J's 10th birthday and they have school but a short week for Thanksgiving. Today I have writing, cleaning, need to work on the hangar a bit, boys to and from school, J wants spaghetti and meat sauce for his birthday dinner, and we will be making his cake this evening.
