Welcome back, Homesteaders, to the Author of the Week Contest!
Many thanks to the LeoFinance community for this contest developed to encourage engagement on LeoThreads!. From the looks of the week 2 winner's announcement, it seems to be working quite well!
As stated last week, this should be is a weekly contest, and so far, luck is with me regarding publishing these posts on time. Each winner will receive 60% of the following week's contest announcement rewards, which will be a fairly substantial prize, based on last week's results.
...and the winner is...
@johndoer123 takes last week's prize, with a full 50% of the votes! This is a well deserved win by one of our earliest members, who brings us information, entertainment, and advice with every post. Give the man some thanks and congratulations if you see him around Hive, or stop by to leave him a comment on the winning post.
This week's contestants:
For week 2 we have a mix of posts from the community.
We will start this week with a post from @lion-bull that shows a beautiful way to
use extra space around your home for growing cash crops. This food-forest style approach is a great way to add aesthetics and income to your property.
Next up is a post from @tecnologyfan1 that shows how to grow cachucha peppers in great detail from choosing seeds to selling your harvest. This post serves as a wonderful guide for growing nearly any kind of pepper, and is well worth checking out.
Moving right along, we have a post from @iwansyuhada describing how to make and apply organic liquid fertilizer with common, low cost ingredients. Fertilizer is often an essential part of gardening, and the more you know about it, the more successful your plants are likely to be.
Finishing out this week's contestants is a post from @agbogo that discusses the facts and potential reasons for poor seed germination among her maize plants. This is part of a series from one of our most prolific contributors that discusses clearing land, planting seeds, and growing companion crops.
Stop by Our LeoThreads Poll to vote for your favorite author! Votes will be accepted until Sunday at 11:59PM(PST).
Good luck contestants!
