So the problem of lack of communication.
The COMPANY I had contacted to assemble the metal building, to my clear and confident knowledge never TOLD me that the pad had to be level within no more than a 2"-3" drop.
The old building in the back is ABSOLUTELY level, even after 83 yrs. But if you look from the right to the left, the pad drops 3-3½ course of brick.
To me and the concrete guy, it seemed useless; after all, it is a PARKING PAD.
BUT, since something was to be built upon it, they (the company) assumed we would all know that this made it a FOUNDATION, and everyone knows you can't build on an unlevel foundation.
After finding all this out, I contacted 2 other companies and they all said the same thing.
SO
I found this online in two places, Lowe's and Tractor Supply
(↑LOWES↑)
(↓Tractor Supply↓)
Which would of course be delivered HERE in several packages/cartons, would incur shipping/delivery costs, THEN pay someone to come here and assemble it

Seems I just can't catch a break on this one. The concrete guy, who if he had known his business (seems to me) and poured the pad level to begin with (hence avoiding all this heartache) told me "I can build you a metal cover for $400"
I said come here and show me.
It was then that I explained the issue with the companies and that this was (supposed to be a foundation) and I showed him these things with the shed assembly kits, he then said "we can assemble those for $600 in one day"
It just gets better and better.
The day of the pour, I was outside in the breezy chill ALL DAY with them, trying to help and expedite things.
Hence my chest congestion that had never completely gone away since the December bout of Covid, came back with a vengence.
Literally jumping on my chest with both feet.
No fever, no aches or pains like with the covid, just non-stop hacking cough.
I'm told everyone has it and it won't go away.
So again I went to an Urgent Care the following Monday, got another antibiotic and a script for Prednisone (steroid anti-inflammatory, which in hindsight seems almost counter intuitive. My congestion was due to INFLAMMATION, so this immediately made a difference)
During the night after the Dr visit, I was coughing up extremely thick, viscous and seemingly clotted "FLEGM"( phlegm)
I rarely look at what I've coughed up, but that night in the dimness, I did and it seemed gray, almost like I'd spent time in a lot of SMOKE (but I had not)
Next morning, I captured these images
I was very concerned by the appearance of blood. I reasoned (as I thought any Dr I went to would) that this just might be from HACKING so hard to get this crap out, however, I sent these images, via SECURE MESSAGING, to my VA PCP.

I could NOT BELIEVE that backlash I got for this, which was in my view, my communication with my medical team to advise them of my health condition.
"Mr Smith you should not be sharing images and symptoms like that here, you should have been seen in an ER"
So who am I going to share this info with, outside of a SECURE COMMUNICATION NETWORK BETWEEN MYSELF AND MY DR?
The VA has gotten very back in this respect. Don't go see your DOCTOR, go to an ER.
I looked at the bill from the last time I went to the ER.
I don't CARE if Medicare and/or the VA covered the cost, those entities were CHARGED $7,000.00 for that one visit.
My VA Dr's are ALREADY PAID to care for me by the American Taxpayer.
I just went to Lowe's and used the last of my gift card to get a cool mist humidifier for my bedroom
NOW perhaps I can finally stop coughing so hard and actually begin a recovery.
I had such high hopes of going into this new year with more things accomplished.
I DID get some dry needling in my right hip, which has almost completely alleviated the pain and loss of mobility. I joined a gym so that I can stretch and strengthen those "Hip Flexor" muscles.
Now the question is; Do I Buy The Kit and PAY the same Latino fellas to assemble it?
I am reluctant to toss any more of my money down that hole, although other than the pad not being level I was very pleased with their work.
