Rearing Broiler chicken birds requires a farmer's logic and pattern of rearing his or her poultry farm business. A lot of farmers are fun of or conversant with selling their birds in four weeks but I have found this not efficiently profitable. I have reared so many batches and I gathered lot of experiences concerning this stuff. I don't sell my birds at four weeks and here is why.
The poultry farm feeding efficiency starts from 4 weeks old upward to six to seven weeks. For example, if you rear 150 birds for 6 weeks. From their day old to four weeks, they will consume 14 bags of feed which they might be at average weight of 1.4kg while the other two weeks, they will consume 14 bags of feed from day old to six weeks with approximately 3.7kg of weight.
Also considering the sales efficiency and profit. It's certain that your gain selling at six weeks to seven weeks will be profit efficient than selling at their four weeks considering the amount of gain they accumulate from four weeks to six weeks.
